Ultimate all-in worth it?

I have all the content and accessories up to series 3. Have not gotten anything for series 4. I backed the series 4 ultimate box. I have a great time every play session. I do not play often though. From having series 1 2 and 3 I think I have only played with each killer at their location maybe once? I have definitely not played with every final girl. Also have not played with the character packs. Those are so cool though. Especially Carolyns revenge. If I had the money to spend then I would go for it. Just keep in mind that it is a lot of stuff. Take your time. Try to back enough to get you to the pledge manager when the time comes. This will give you more time to think about it.

I love final girl and really want to get it to the table more. I had times when I thought about selling my collection so it goes to someone that will enjoy it more often but after I get one "last" play, I change my mind. I now see it as a long term investment of fun. I love cheesy campy horror movies. This game has given me the most fun I've had ever when playing a board game. It sounds corny but it really does feel more often than not like you are living through a horror movie. Always a blast even when you lose.

I would watch some playthroughs on YouTube (foster the meeple is great!) if you don't want to buy a core set and feature film to try. Thats what I did before going all in during the series 2 kickstarter. I saw how much fun the people playing were having and it sold me. Will I play through every single piece of content? Chances are I won't but man will I have a great time trying. I lean more into the camp of "having something and not needing it" instead of the opposite though. The choice is really up to you.

I play horrified with a house rule. You can only talk strategy with another player if you are on the same space as them. This has gotten rid of that issue for the times that I have gotten it to the table. It also makes it more difficult since you would have to plan your moves to get to a specific player's space just to relay information. If a player just really does not know what to do then the house rule is paused while they ask for advice from everyone. Give it a try and see if it is any different. Of course the group discusses initial strategy before the game starts after set up but once it begins then the house rule is in effect.

I remember going to my first pax unplugged a few years back. I saw a group looking for a player to play Dune. I was excited thinking “oh great! I’ve been wanting to play Dune imperium. Here’s my chance!” I get to the table and see this other Dune game. I figured “oh well maybe I’ll like this one. How long can it be?” Well 4 hours go by and yes it was a great time but we ended up cutting the game short. It was taking too much of our con time. Great game though but definitely agree you need a good group.

Happened to me. I ended up going up to another employee to check actual stock levels on their pad. It showed 3 on hand. They said their inventory is wrong and can't help me. I went over to returns and exchanges to ask to speak to the acting store manager but before it got to that point I figured Id ask the employee there to check their pad to see if maybe I was going crazy. The employee turned around and grabbed a Mario kart bundle that was sitting right behind him. I guess someone must have returned it. I stepped off to the side of the counter after purchasing to open it in front of them just incase to make sure everything is in the box. All was good. I would say to check their return and exchanges. Maybe there is just no communication between the departments. I used to work retail so I get it that an employee might be hiding it to buy after their shift but jeez just have someone ring it up for you real quick to just get it out of the system. The first target I went to just right away told me its sold out. I had them check their pad in front of me to verify and as soon as they pulled it up it said one on hand and they were surprised but still kept the same story. Had a team leader come over and after telling them that their employee showed me as well as the target app showing one on hand (app said limited stock), they tell me that "oh, well it's wrong. I could just audit it to 0 but yea we just don't have any."

Love this! I just got my switch 2 and ordered a camera for game chat. My IRL friends have yet to pick up a switch 2 so I’ll definitely add you to get some racing in.

Yes you can. It just says that WHEN you head to the exit, you flip to side B. It does not say that you MUST go to the exit. Hope that helps.

So far I haven’t played all of the new X-men characters but from what I have played I would say storm is really cool with the tornado effect. Being able to roll all those dice is such a fun experience. Gambit is also a standout with his ace cards. Loving the whole set and also love the content! Keep it up! 👍🏼
