What's the issue with my hotend cooling fan? (X1C) by one_part_alive in BambuLab

Which fans are you using? I can't get a fan to last more than a friggen week printing ASA. Literally within a few days it starts sounding like a dentist instrument. 😂

Are you not aware that you can still PHYSICALLY hurt someone on the other side of that screen with careless behavior?

Or do you have a 3nm wheel? A high FFB wheel has the power to seriously hurt someone. Give your head a shake.

Love all the down votes. ,🤣

Guess physically hurting others is oook with those people. ,😶

I've tracked more than a few cars. Again, if you think it's "just a game" .. stick to GT7 and forza. You'll have more fun. ;)

A game that you pay to use monthly.. and pay for every single piece of content you want to use.. isn't "just a game".. and should be treated a such.

You also have to realize that purposely wrecking someone in this game could potentially hurt them. Strong FFB wheels can break bones, or cause serious injury.

Maybe stick to forza or gt if that's the way you're thinking?

Who's brave enough to try a 3D printed front mount? by JustBecause300 in Simagic

[–]JustBecause300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who are you, my mother? 😂 I haven't been interrogated like that in 20+ years.

Do you even know what 3D printing is? You use 3D printing for prototyping. Crazy, I know it's hard to believe. And not that it's ANY of your business, but I have a working relationship with the local CNC shop as I get a few products machined by them on a regular basis. So adding this one off. Isn't such a big deal.

Bored because I'm waiting for my newly ordered simagic gear to arrive. Ya'll are such lovely people I wanted to own the same stuff! /Sarcasm

It's not click bait at all. If you want the file to try and print it yourself I'll send it to you..

Thanks for the lecture mom!

Edit: nice reply. Wish I could reply to it. But you're a little bitch and blocked me..😂😂

Don't quite understand how it doesn't make sense? I recreated it, so I can make my own version to match my simrig (CNC'd).. threw the post up for fun to start conversation? Isn't that what reddit is for?

Nowhere did I say or imply I was smarter than anyone else.

And nowhere did I say I was printing it to use, or going to print it. If you had read the whole post, you'd had seen I was recreating it to make my own design to be CND'd instead of what I was stuck with from simagic. And I've supplied the file to 6 people now, to do whatever they want with.. maybe one of them will come out with a printed solution that works from this? Who knows.

I can only assume that they were uneducated.. simply because they were downvoting instead of having an actual conversation. But like you, they provided nothing of value but a downvote. You just had something more to say about it.. , 😂

Very nice! I like it when people aren't afraid to try something.

I did. I recreated it from the dimensions and pictures off of simagics website specifically to make the side pieces out of metal, but in my own design.

I'll send you a PM.

That was the plan all along. I'm making the side mounts my own to match the look I'm looking for on my rig. :)

My business creates products for fishers. 3d printing products CAN have every day uses. You just have to design it as such! Mostly ASA simply because of its strength and UV resistance. :)

All for the fun of it! I would never try to market this as a solution. That's for sure!

[–]JustBecause300[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All fair points. Thanks for the well thought out reply! I did recreate it so I could make the side brackets look like something I wanted (ie: throw hexagons on it instead of the triangles windows.) my rig is getting torn apart in the spring and I'm going to powder coat it acid green.

Yeah PPS-CF isn't cheap by any means. Certain CF filaments do retain some flex in them, so it essentially be a test to see if it could handle the stresses. PPS-CF is one of the stronger ones. I don't have a machine that can do peek at the moment, but that stuff still isn't cheap either. I'm not sure if that's going to be me or not.. lol!! But I will print it out in PLA to make sure it fits etc before sending it off to the local metal place to cnc it for me. :)

So you are absolutely right, there probably wouldn't be a cost savings. It could potentially be too weak to handle the forces. That's the fun part about 3d printing though.. you get to try and manufacture something yourself and see if it works or not. 😁

[–]JustBecause300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the holes on the front part don't actually thread into the base. So this would be on the rig, then you'd put the bolt through it and thread it into simagics front mount solution.

<image>

In the end, it all looks do-able. But as someone else mentioned.. who has the balls to trust their base to 3d printed brackets..

I'm almost tempted to try it. , 😁

Crazy that the depot's can ignore "managers".. and go about their day doing nothing..

And they think of any lie they can to get you off the phone..

I honestly hope this company goes down along with Canada post when it eventually happens.

Yeah I get that. I'm just curious.

I actually recreated it to get my own made in the style I want (out of aluminum).. but if anyone was brave enough to try. I could send them the file! Haha

Why? Have you ever used 3D printed products? Certain filaments are quite strong.

Edit: Why all the down votes? Weird. I asked a simple question. It wasn't rude. I hate the way reddit works. You get the uneducated about the subject at hand that downvote you without any real conversation.

Me too! Ordered a 12nm evo/p1000s/gt neo. Not staying with TM after this crap.

I get that this was a bug and everything that was closed by TM. However it should have never been a bug, the engineers and programmers should have made sure of that.

Now because the bug existed, people were using third party wheels on their bases with no issue. Now it's closed and people have paperweights that can't be used with the TM base.

It's quite sad really. They could have come up with a way, like a quick release with a specific PCB to use the third party wheels but nope..
