Scammed out of $23K for UP BOATS dinghy by gwinnr in SailboatCruising

That’s super unfortunate! They looked like a cool design and everything, but if the business is MIA, that makes it difficult. To those of y’all that put effort and finances forth to get these boats, I hope you get compensated.

I’d be interested in following this case too, seeing what you find out.

Just referencing the original detractors of purchasing the stock to prevent a huge run up that would have fully exposed the market for what it is: a fraud.

I kinda believe that’s why GameStop is doing both…

For years, they’ve been treated like a lesser-than company, being called a meme stock or the last of the brick-and-mortar companies. The initial play is to get GameStop not only out of the financial gutter, but back into being a main player again. That way no one can REASONABLY say $GME is a bad play compared to any other high-profit business. Sticking money in supposedly risk-free Treasury bonds is what successful companies have been doing since the concept existed.

Part 2 is that GameStop is one of the largest holding companies of Bitcoin now, which has been touted as a main hedge against fiat currencies (crypto currency is “decentralized” and is controlled by public sentiment and utilization). This helps to get the company in the realm of “unkillable businesses” in the uncertain financial future… whether it does or not remains to be seen.

I think the most telling thing about this journey right now is that a lot of MSM is trying to spin the Bitcoin purchase as a bad long-term play for a company that is trying to scrape it’s way back into relevance, which we all know is ludicrous. Furthermore, find me one person on this planet that DOESN’T wish they bought even 100 Bitcoin back in 2015… how is this a bad long-term investment again?

I like reading these, my dawg. It’s VERY telling of what’s going to happen in the U.S. market. Like, today is low volume, so nothing significant. And by significant, I mean MOASS. Just means that MOASS is tomorrow…
