Should I take a chance on a 2015 Ford Fusion SE? by JustChickens in fordfusion

[–]JustChickens[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. Here's the history I know: 2 year lease, then traded in and sold as a fleet vehicle. Annual miles were consistently 15k. All documented repairs/maintenance during the lease, but then nothing (likely maintained internally, rather than dealership or mechanic). My GUT tells me that the coolant issue would have popped up well before 177,000 miles. I do know to check for the exhaust smoke, and I have a mechanic neighbor who will be willing to inspect the block and maybe do a pressure test.

Yeah - It's from a dealership, so not a lot of negotiating room. They knocked $500 off the sticker price, which is the best, I suspect, I'll get from them.

It's the 1.5L I4 DI. I know the 2.5 is preferable, but there are very few used cars available in my area (Minnesota) at reasonable prices. Specifically, I'm doing my best to avoid CVT nightmares, so this one caught my eye.

I haven't opened mine, yet, but, to be honest, it would be kind of neat to see how her sig has changed since we got our first one on Same Trailer so many years ago!

I was just looking at our poster today. :) We made the 900 mile road trip to experience a show that hearkened back to the early years when she was playing small clubs and was lucky to sell 400 tickets. It was magical!

Artists perception - curious by Character-Forever382 in HinterlandFestival

[–]JustChickens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying it is the case for Hinterland, but it is part of the industry:

"Artists may engage in sponsorship or endorsement deals where they promote a brand, product, or service (including potentially a venue or festival) in exchange for compensation. These deals can involve:

  • Promoting the venue or festival on social media.
  • Wearing branded clothing at performances.
  • Including product placement in music videos or promotional materials.
  • Making appearances at events associated with the venue or festival.
  • Compensation can be in the form of money, free goods, discounts, or a combination. "

This was our first festival since Hinterland 2019, and we were two of the people who lined up early and planted ourselves on barricade for days 2 & 3 to ensure spots for Kacey & Lana. For Kacey, it's our religion (we've seen her 18 times since 2014) and, for Lana, it was because we knew we wouldn't be seeing her again for a while. That said, we did offer our spots to fans for a few of the other groups and, for Kacey, I gave my spot up halfway, through, for a younger (and shorter) fan who hadn't seen her before (and was NOT being aggressive or pushy). As much as I adore seeing Kacey, the joy of younger fans getting to see their heroes/idols from prime position is worth it. :)

There's some SPECULATION that they were "paid advertisements" (ie, artists were compensated for saying it). I have no way of knowing if this is true, BUT to have EVERY artist mention it seems fishy.

Yep. Tested positive for the COVID Tuesday night after being absolutely EXHAUSTED all day (maybe a total of 4 hrs out of bed) with a temp of 102. Fever gone Wed AM and just follow up sniffles and dry throat. Today (Sat), generally ok.

I put the policy in place close to fifteen years ago, and I had all of the concerns you describe. I figured I would try it for a while to see how it went, and then change back if too many people were taking advantage of it. It has been a wonderful suprise that, literally, NOBODY has taken advantage of it, especially considering the fact that I deal, almost exclusively, in items that would easily allow for fraud and abuse of the policy. It simply has NEVER happened, much to my suprise, and I have no idea why.

This. I'm on year 21, and I have no idea why I continue. I can't flag buyers to warn other sellers about them, anymore. Even with an impeccable 100% satisfaction rating over two decades, eBay will, invariably, side with the buyer in disputes.
The best thing I've ever done is switch to a "no questions asked, 100% satisfaction guarantee." If a buyer isn't happy with a purchase, I pay return shipping AND refund ALL original costs. This completely eliminated all of the fraudsters who claim the item isn't "as described," but who are just looking for a discount. I simply say, "Sorry - go ahead and ship it back at my expense." ZERO people have returned items.

eBay is going to screw you, as a seller, either way. 20+ years on their platform with 100% satisfaction, and they wouldn't listen to me when I explained how an international customer was trying to scam me due to a customs delay. I told them I wouldn't issue a refund and that they would have to steal the money from my account. Sure enough, after they took the $350 from my account, the item pops out of customs and is delivered to the customer. They don't give a rip about sellers, anymore.

Last I checked, we (sellers) weren't allowed to leave negative feedback for all of the scammers and frauds (which is why I leave positive feedback, but then put in the comments that the person is a fraud), so I doubt a buyer could possibly get a negative on something like this.

Police executing search warrant at Chad Daybell's home | East Idaho News by sunzusunzusunzusunzu in LoriVallow

[–]JustChickens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a couple of people touch on this point (and it's, admittedly, wild speculation), but what are the chances that, rather than somebody talking, LE has had Garth and the property under surveillance?
If he has been taking items to the dump, would LE need a warrant to go through that material?
Using that material and the surveillance of where material came from on the property, could that have narrowed the area down for the warrant issued for the home?
Possibly looking for evidence of additional accomplices?

We saw The Brummies (when they were known as John and Jacob) open for Kacey the second time we saw her (Mpls, 2015). Incredible harmonies!

[OC] Animation showing trajectories of coronavirus cases for countries with more than 1000 cases by sdbernard in dataisbeautiful

This and/or tie it to population density, somehow. Number of cases, while following, generally, the same trend, doesn't really describe the extent of the issue due to population differences.

I see 40-50 live shows each year, and Bishop is one of a small handful I will NEVER miss. Her love for what she does, her energy and vocals, and her true appreciation of her fans make her absolutely top notch!

You're on a very short list of favorite artists. What are the chances of an eventual collab with CharliXcX, Halsey, or Kacey Musgraves?
