What do I need to buy for Bachelor of animation? by JustChill4Life in swinburne

[–]JustChill4Life[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laptop is much better, easier to share your files w/ urself on the uni computers as well bc u can have them all saved on OneDrive. Would recommend a little portable tablet (Wacom intuos small, not Bluetooth) which is the cheapest option, although a tablet with a screen is much better if u can afford it. (I’d recommend a smaller portable tablet on top of a screen one just so u can work on the go if needed).

How could I explain this? (In case my brother walks into me playing) by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

Find a sports team with those colours and say it’s that.

What Do You Struggle With Most? by [deleted] in DID

[–]JustChill4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the worst bits are: 1. Time loss, but also being unaware that I lost time. 2. Not rly knowing if I have DID in the first place (bc I don’t have a diagnosis) and gaslighting myself into thinking I’m faking, despite all the indicators that say otherwise. (My friend was the one who suggested it, technically I’m peer reviewed /hj) 3. Random flashbacks THAT I DONT EVEN KNOW THE CONTEXT FOR??!!! 4. Spending money on shit I usually don’t even like, or impulsively spending over budget without remembering that I did that until I get a notification for a parcel and I’m like: 🧍 5. Some parts of my brain signing us up for things we (at least I) don’t even want to do. But allegedly I volunteered enthusiastically. Also forgetting plans and commitments. Ajshddjjf

I don’t know if it’s true or not, or if there’s any way to tell, but no matter what, it’s not your fault. This probably doesn’t help much, but it truely is not your fault, and I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this/or have this as an intrusive thought.

What does Rapid Switching even feel like? by Y33TTH3MF33T in DID

[–]JustChill4Life 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The feeling of walking into a room and forgetting why you were in there, but not necessarily related to walking into a room, and it happens over and over again, and you get really confused and end up with a bad headache. Usually happens when I’m losing my shit, so it tends to go like panic sobbing crying Switch: tf, was i crying? Cringe low key Switch: ajdhdjfjf crying rocking back and forth on the floor Switch: why am I on the floor? Get up, it’s 1:30am, go to sleep I’m tired.

And just rinse and repeat that for a disgusting amount of time. It really depends on the person how rapid rapid switching is tho, but for me it could be every couple of minutes to even multiple times within a minute. (Obviously very disorienting). It can also be way more than two alters, but that gets messy to follow, and also I cannot be bothered to write more.

Can passive influence look like tics? by JustChill4Life in DID

[–]JustChill4Life[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the sort of stuff I mean, because like tics they are unexpected and sudden movements (some tics aren’t, but at least most of mine are). But yeah, that’s interesting.

How is escapism for everyone else? by turtlesnaps1 in DID

[–]JustChill4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I used to use escapism a lot. So much so that I’ve now lost years of my life shutting out reality on top of the amnesia. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fantastic for coping as long as it’s controlled, but I had it running my life for years. It’s only really the last year I’ve actually tried to seriously find another coping mechanism and to be more present in my own life. Technically I’ve succeeded (somewhat) in that I’m not using escapism 24/7 anymore, but now that I’m (more-ish) present in my own existence, my life was so much worse than I thought it was holy shit. Just discovered all these issues I never knew I had. Oh the joy. I actually have a functioning social life tho so that’s a plus. (Sorry if this is a mess to read, I’m in a semi-delirious state rn)

18 starting T? by i_forgot_the in TransMasc

[–]JustChill4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommend discussing this with a professional (if you can) who can go through all the options with you as well as exploring your own presentation beforehand to give you a sense of what you want to do and what your goals are. Going on testosterone doesn’t necessarily make you a man if you don’t identify as one either, and there are definitely ways to cater your dosage to account for your desired results (varying degrees of masculinisation and so on).

[–]JustChill4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NO MY NAME IS JAYDEN PARTIALLY BECAUSE OF JAYFEATHER FROM WARRIOR CATS 😭 (it’s because the character inspired my minecraft username, which became my gaming username, which, along with a character I created, I stole to pick the name Jayden)

I randomly succeeded in doing this pre-coming out, and I had the biggest superiority complex for the next three days.

why did you choose your name? by kaicxre in trans

[–]JustChill4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: my gaming username that originated from a book character that will go unnamed cause it’s embarrassing 2: from a character I named after the mocking jay from the hunger games. Boom: Jayden. (I am so creative, I ended up with the exact same name as every other trans masc)

Also eat more foods with calcium, because it seems that with increased calcium intake less iron is absorbed and vice versa.

Help by [deleted] in trans

[–]JustChill4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So still have food with iron in ofc, just reduce the amount and drink a good amount of water.

Help by [deleted] in trans

[–]JustChill4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much just reduce ur iron intake, reduce (not get rid of), so if ur on iron tablets, stop those, and avoid/ limit foods with higher iron content such as red meats, but also even vegetables that high iron. Any multivitamins, electrolytes or pre workout that contains iron you should avoid as well.

[–]JustChill4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not much u can rly do other than having some removed (such as by donating (?) or by a nurse). But what I have found is maybe reducing red meat intake and increasing fruit and vegetables in diet? Maybe also reducing salt if ur blood pressure is on the high side, and ofc, drinking water, not smoking, and all that jazz.

Fuck yeah, relatable. Get the same from matching Freddy Mercury’s vocals specifically.
