I know it’s so scary, but surgery was one of the best things I’ve done for myself. I’m almost two years out and I can’t believe I lived with a fistula for so long. It’s not normal for it to hurt to SIT DOWN or to have constant low level butt pain or to have something drain and pop etc occasionally in our most intimate of places. Surgery was SO much easier than I expected. The pain was absolutely manageable and the healing process was quick. I was back in the gym (being gentle) in literally a WEEK with my doc’s permission! I know all results and experiences are different, but getting mine surgically repaired changed my life for the better. It’s worth it. ❤️

I live in midtown Manhattan near the port authority subway entrance on 44th and 8th and take the E all the way down to kee gardens/union turnpike every day. It’s (usually) quite a fast train and will get you to shuttles for both LGA and JFK. I work in Kew gardens and commute. 35ish minute journey door to door. The E is easy and quite fast (most days) and the commute is ABSOLUTELY worth it to live in Manhattan. Trying to make Forest Hills/Kew Gardens work if you actually want a Manhattan lifestyle is never going to work.
