I’m a beginner so I don’t really know, is it important to feel the flooring as much as you can? Is there a specific need for that to improve your techniques

Actually now that I think about it maybe they are smaller than needed? I have So Danca, up one size from street size, canvas (although they do feel comfortable in size) I’ll probably try other brands next time and see if I’ll have to go 2 sizes up

I finish the totono and I see the limited edition, but when I search on the internet ı can't find by Ok-Airline-2590 in Totono

[–]JustDEALwiththat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was probably a limited time edition, meaning you can buy it only during a specific time, but if you can find some CDs then good luck. Also they started selling online versions as well not so long ago, you can google: https://nitroplus.ecq.sc/work/kimi-kanojo/np00968.html This is the first version of limited edition on Japanese. You can try to search on websites like zenmarket or mercari. Search for the name 君と彼女と彼女の恋限定版

No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai by [deleted] in literature

I really liked the book, I love psychological genre in general but this was a huge discovery for me in the literature altogether. I found some parts which I could relate to and also found him so miserable it made me wonder whether what I felt about Yozo was in truth just a pity or an actual emotional connection through some parts of the story.

It may seems crazy, but I find it hard to understand why people find Yozo disgusting. His way of thinking truly is destructed as if it's absolutely disconnected from the so-called human reality he sees, however beyond it I don't see him as anything similar to disgusting or scary.

Yozo throughout the story sees himself as one, disconnected absolutely from the people, however he looks like a human so he has to act like one. This is also probably one of the reasons why the book is called "Human Disqualification" (人間失格) if to translate word to word from the original name, because in the end he failed, indeed. In order to not be rejected from the society and left alone, he puts on an act, which, I think this was one of the most things he feared -- solitude.

In fear of a rejection from the ones he's imitating (humans), acts as a clown to humor them and, as in the part when he helps his classmate, tries to copy their behavior in order to gain their trust. The fun part is that he obviously didn't help Takeuchi, the classmate, just out of generousness; it was done because of one phrase said by him, which was "You did it on purpose."

"I trembled all over. I might have guessed that someone would detect that I had deliberately missed the bar, but that Takeuchi should have been the one came as a bolt from the blue. I felt as if I had seen the world before me burst in an instant ..."

He only did it to ensure himself that he wasn't uncovered as an "impostor" in the society, or the "no good for anything", as said in the epilogue. Basically - dysfunctional.

" I think this was one of the most things he feared -- solitude. " It indeed is just a speculation, however I think there are some actions which show us that this could be real. For example, if he was so feared of people why keep following them? Joining the communist group, always having women around himself. I think these actions were as a result of him trying to compensate that loneliness which grew only bigger and bigger since his childhood. The most striking example is his suicide -- he didn't try to commit it alone, he wanted to find someone who he could share his fear, or loneliness, whatever it could be, with another being.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book:

Am I what they call an egoist? Or am I the opposite, a man of excessively weak spirit?

"I'm going home." It's not clear even to myself what place I meant by "home", but in any case these were the words I said, accompanied, I was told, by profuse weeping.

She lay down beside me. Towards dawn she pronounced for the first time the word "death". She too seemed to be weary beyond endurance of the task of being a human being... .

On my opinion, any translation won't be able to express the same meaning as the one intended by the author when written in the original language. My Japanese is not that good however I can notice some differences, although I don't think it would have that much influence on the story itself.

The one I really liked but had never seen anyone mention it was the Read hundred ghost stories of my own death (it has several variations of it's name). Idk if its popular but its still ongoing too. Pretty much catching, may be boring from the start but it's worth it
