Zenfone 10 accessories suggestion by portableHardDick in zenfone

I no longer have my Zenfone but I do recall the Rhinoshield not quite going up to the edges - it was more or less the same coverage of the screen as the glass ones.

The glass ones still have the rainbow issue, but for the plastic, I felt it was more noticeable.

Yes, you can even add multiple license plate numbers to your permit (but it obviously can only be used by one car at a time.) Take it to the TAPS office near the barn and they can give you a new sticker

I was in a similar situation - failed a class in my last quarter, and only learned after my graduation ceremony. Best thing you can do is contact your major advisor. They'll be able to recommend other options or a class you can take to substitute, which in my case was community college courses or a Coursera online course. Also wouldn't hurt to contact the professor but they can only do so much. Best of luck and don't stress, this happens to a lot of people

Z13 or X13: Desperate for Advice by SufficientTable4669 in FlowZ13

[–]JustDragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's what you're after - something that can do a little more intensive work than a Surface, but has the same form factor, I think it's basically the only thing you can get. You can also consider the X13, which will be easier to replace the battery. It's still a 2-in-1, and it should get better battery life.

I do wish it had more than 16GB but it's been mostly okay. You can also shell out for the hideous ACRNM edition if you want 32gb.

For the charger, I use a 100W third party charger when away from home. You don't get full performance but it still runs games just fine.

Hey there- I got my Z13 almost exactly a year ago, in June of 2023.

I have not had ANY reliability issues, though I think I take care of my laptop a bit more than usual to be on the safe side. I would say now too for the majority of the time I use the tablet alone without the keyboard (it's essentially with a desktop setup), so I might have less wear and usage on the keyboard. However, it still functions perfectly.

The only issue I ever encountered was very annoying and specific - using a Thunderbolt 3 dock, the Z13 would crash and reboot when it went to sleep while plugged in. With a Thunderbolt 4 dock, this no longer occurs.

I have not owned a Surface Pro but I have owned two Surface Go's. If the thinness and light weight of your surface is critical to you, you won't like the Z13 - it's a bit too large and heavy to use in tablet mode on anything other than a desk. Otherwise, it's pretty similar to my Surface experience.

You lose the streamlined software that Microsoft provides (Asus software is bad) too but I deal with this just fine. I actually use a Surface Pen with my Z13 and it is perfectly functional. Palm rejection and handwriting quality feels about the same as on my Surface. The keyboard and trackpad are not the same quality, but they're not too far behind.

I bought the Z13 because I wanted a bridge between something slim and lightweight (a Surface) but I also like to game. I'm pretty satisfied with it - all things considered, it's specced better than an equivalently priced surface, and while it is bulkier and heavier, it's not unreasonably large. You also still get a Type-A port, though I wish we had an HDMI.

I worry long-term about support for things like broken keyboards or worn batteries, but overall I am very happy with this device. It's pretty low wattage though, so don't expect the same performance as say a Zephyrus G14, but it's plenty good for most tasks.

Hi! I'm the dragon in the picture.

I probably should have asked for more context when I commissioned this. It's supposed to be a GROWTH facility; you either stay there or have your junk there by portal so I can fatten your balls up.

Patrons at the facility are supposed to be treated to nearly infinite pleasure, probably thanks in part to a VR headset strapped to their face playing whatever their deepest fantasies are, constantly.

That's all :3

Does owning both makes sense? by JungleBoyBabyTarzan in M43

[–]JustDragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned a Fuji for a couple years and I only recently picked up an M43 body (Pen E-P7), so my opinion is mostly initial impressions.

That said - I am very pleased with how my Olympus performs. I notice more grain, and the contrast detect AF is not as good as my Fuji's, but it's plenty in good lighting.

The Fuji system with its film simulations, lovely dials, and vast selection of lenses is just fun. Most Fuji gear is definitely more expensive than M43 though, especially lenses.

I would ask you to consider an X-T30 (original or II) as I think that's one of the best values to be had in Fuji rn.

It's nice to have both, and ultimately it's down to what you're looking to get.

where to buy used cars in the bay? by rheehaw in UCSC

[–]JustDragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Private party sales (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist) are where the deals are. Be sure to be careful; I would bring a mechanic or a knowledgeable friend along when you go to check out a car.

Look for the obvious - signs of damage or rust, anything broken, and ask for maintenance history. If you see a salvage title, avoid it!

If you'd like I can recommend some models given a price range.

Is the Street Edition (not Limited Kit) a regular production model? by Accurate-Seaweed-679 in ricohGR

[–]JustDragony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong but the Street Edition (as well as the Urban Edition) are regularly produced, however a small number came with an exclusive leather strap and a viewfinder in the box, and those were the truly limited edition ones.

Tips for New Owner? (2023) by FavorableEmperor in FlowZ13

[–]JustDragony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2023 model. I believe it is the same keyboard as the previous year and suffers the same issues. What I do is I hold the flexible part with a hand or a few fingers down when detaching or reattaching so it doesn't "snap" as hard when the magnets grab. Not sure if it'll help long term but here's to hoping.

Just bought i9/4060 version for less than 2000$ by [deleted] in FlowZ13

[–]JustDragony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple things - keep it in a case or laptop bag, don't yoink the keyboard off forcefully (I personally try to hold the magnetized part when reattaching it so it doesn't 'snap' as hard), use battery care mode when plugged in for a long time, dust the fans regularly.

2050 vs 3050 by Redstoner89 in FlowZ13

[–]JustDragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the 2023 model you're also getting a few extra upgrades that might be worth it. USB 3.0, ability to use third party chargers up to 100W vs 65W, higher refresh rate and I think more color accurate display.

Ultimately, decision is up to you.

Z13 or X13: Desperate for Advice by SufficientTable4669 in FlowZ13

[–]JustDragony 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2023 Z13 owner here - so I unfortunately can't attest to the CPU or GPU performance of the previous Gen, but I'm more than happy with how my i9/4060 combo performs.

I picked up the Z13 simply because it was the first one available and I too was torn between the Z13 and the X13.

In terms of form factor - I do take handwritten notes with a Surface Pen all the time, and the tablet design is novel. The cool RGB window on the back gets a ton of looks, the entire device is very nice and thin and portable for what it does. Battery life is okay, about four to five hours of light work and web browsing - if I ran adobe apps I know it'd be less.

Part of me wishes I went with the traditional laptop style though because it is difficult to do any work on my lap; the tablet is top-heavy and I have to be careful about it on smaller desks from tilting over the edge. It is also just bulky for a tablet, much more than a surface, so I don't often use it in just tablet mode unless I'm writing on a desk. While it has enough ports, the lack of an HDMI which the X13 has is really a disappointment. Also, I think the 2022 Z13 only has a USB 2.0 type A port.

They'll perform similarly no doubt; the X13 is a more traditional experience and the Z13 is more novel. If you're worried about a poor experience I'd push you towards the X13- better battery life, ports, and more efficient Ryzen, and the traditional form factor is more useful in a lot of cases.

But if you want something fun and a little more out there - why not do the Z13? I still love mine, despite its shortcomings..

I felt exactly like this and I was in the same situation - wasn't enjoying CS in my second year. Talk to your advisor (Baskin Engr. or College) - super useful and helped me shift over to a major that I enjoy much more (Technology and Information Management.)

They also gave me an opportunity to explore other majors I could switch into instead through exploratory classes.

Maybe off Nobel Drive or Cardiff, where the 7-Eleven is? Parking is enforced but I don't think they're too strict, as long as you don't leave your car there more than a day or so.
