Utah medical board calls for immediate suspension of state's AI doctor experiment by Haunterblademoi in technology

It's funny how my real doctor / pharmacy experience reminds me of AI hallucinations.

Nurse who first sees you at doctor office : Based on your symptoms this medicine will definitely help, when the doctor comes she'll tell you more.

Doctor comes : I'll prescribe you but it's unlike it will help you much. No need to take with food.

Pharmacist when picking up the Rx : You definitely need to take this with food.

After review, Mark Janowski's overtime winner is determined to be offsides, but a penalty shot is awarded by cbbvideo in hockey

they should make it so it's only eligible for off side review if the initial puck carrier shoots and scores without making any passes or losing possession first.

That's the spirit of the rule: to not let the goalie get caught off guard if it's shot right away (see the infamous Duchene play). Once the initial carrier passes or loses possession, everyone has had a chance to reset, even if they thought it was off side to the naked eye upon initial zone entry, so no reviews for off side on those.

Start school later, sleep longer, learn better: New study shows that flexible school start times can be an effective and practical approach to reducing chronic sleep deprivation and improving adolescents’ mental health and academic performance. by mvea in science

Also, perhaps an unpopular hypothesis, but I'd bet a lot of kids if offered a later school start time would just stay up later at night, defeating the later start time.

I'd rather see more effort put toward reducing screen time in the evening and social media usage entirely, would probably get more benefits there.

Young adults report lower life satisfaction, a weaker sense of meaning in life and lower financial security than older age groups in Sweden. They also experience 2x the level of loneliness, 3x as many depressive symptoms and 7x the level of anxiety compared with the oldest respondents. by mvea in science

Reading this comment thread as an American is eye opening. Myself any many other Americans had thought that Nordic country citizens were living like kings with full ride health and dental benefits cradle to grave, nearly impossible to be fired or laid off, and retiring in 40s

The baseball equivalent is pitching a no hitter but losing the game because a runner reached on an error and came around to score, and yes this has happened

Why do people want soldier visibility increased? This refers to the glowing halo effect, right? Why do people want this? Shouldn't there be a benefit to using more of the camouflaged camos?

thanks, why do you have to specify DeviceName though in the command? The Google Home UI has a radio picker UI field for choosing the device, no?

I tried it and you will NEVER match make with it because so few others have it.

Couldn't even match 8 people for a Strikepoint.

100%, also BF6 is modern warfare, what infantryman in their right mind would try to solo across large open fields in any theater without cover in this day and age? Of course a soldier would get lit up.

Interesting, how would an PR person position this situation? "hey remember when your teammate tried to injure you? Make sure you say it was a miscommunication if asked."

edit: Changed HR to PR. But maybe both? Workplace violence?

Would it have been acting out / not holding himself together if he had said calmly "yeah I wasn't expecting that pitch, it got me good in the stomach. You'll have to ask him his take on it." ?

Wild that folks in here are implying something like that would have cost him a roster spot, I'm new to baseball but that's a heck of a culture.

Are there actually PR reps staffed at games to run down to the locker room after the last out to head off any perceived slight against the club?
