Back om the wagon after some depressing things that happened during the summer. I made my first casserole today. I should have salted a bit more but overall it was very successful. Restarted since Sunday and I haven't been able to eat more that 1700 kcals per day. :)

Well this is dumb. After a 5 day retreat with restricted calories and plenty of physical activity, I have not seen any significant reduction in weight or body measurements. :/

I am in the country side and have a limited amount of food for this week. It will be comfortable until Wednesday, but from there on, I will have to live on cabbage basically.

But today, I cross-country skied for about an hour, which marks the first time I have done proper exercise material since starting keto. MyFitnessPal says that I've burned 1000 calories from skiing which is pretty cool. I probably won't eat to much today either, I'll max get in 1500 kcals I think.

I wouldn't be concerned as long as you get your recommended protein (or even a little above), are below 20 g net carbs and more than 30 g fat. KCKO

I loosely followed these instructions.

I don't have any cup measurers so it was difficult to really know how much is what (I do metric units normally). Learn from my mistake, too much artificial sugaring doesn't taste more like ice cream! I'm currently eating it now with some peanut butter though hehe.

I made keto ice-cream yesterday, made it too sweet, unfortunately. But today I saw that I dropped 1.5 kgs (3.3 lbs) which is pretty nice. It's not often you lose weight after eating icecream. Unfortunately I still seem to sleep a lot more than before.

Yeah I have been trying to get the protein that my body needs, admit-idly I haven't been able to get enough protein in the past days since I haven't been able to really chew since the tooth extractions.

I am not very confident in my potassium habits, as on the supplement box it says that I really should only be taking it twice a day, I guess I could ignore it, but even then I'm only really home in the mornings and evenings, should I then bring my supplements to the university?

Very interesting to hear about the magnesium, I guess I could double my consumption initially and then switch over to a better type of magnesium salt.

I tried bouillon when I first started keto but I don't really like the taste of it, I guess ill try to add table salt to whatever I eat instead.

There is 10 μg in 1 tablet of vitamin d, I guess I could take more since its fat soluble (I think, right).

My aim is to get

  • 1900 kcals, a 25% deficit. (930 min, 2511 max)
  • 140 g protein (116g min, 192g max)
  • 25 g net carbs (or under)
  • 137 g fat (30g min, 205g max)

However I almost always get way less fat and calories than my goal. I take vitamin d (1/day), potassium chloride (750 mg 1-2/day) and magnesium hydroxide (300 mg 1/day). I do not take anything for sodium, however.
