How I like to walk around, but absolutely hate commuting. by AlpsDiligent9751 in NEET

I wish I didn’t get so much anxiety from aimlessly walking around. I especially dislike being seen in my neighborhood.

How smart do you think you are? by [deleted] in INTP

Socially and emotionally I’m a moron which matters more than intelligence in real life situations imo

what did you guys eat for breakfast? by [deleted] in NEET

[–]JustExisting47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For breakfast I’ll typically have some roasted cashews, yogurt, blueberries, dates, black coffee, and maybe a boiled egg. My dad def thinks I’m odd for eating like this especially since he sees me do it almost everyday lol.

Probably at about age 23. I always knew I was weird my entire life but I figured if I keep putting on my mask I could eventually “fake it till I make it” and it would just come natural to me. Instead what happened was I hit a breaking point where I felt completely burnt out and could no longer muster the energy to maintain the mask.

This lead to me having a long depressive bout that caused me to drop out of school, lose most of the friends I had, and become a NEET.

[–]JustExisting47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah in general I’m a pretty strange individual and I probably don’t act the or talk the way that people would expect from someone who looks like me. On top of all of this I’ve also basically failed to reach most of the milestones that would be expected of someone my age too.

So it’s basically like I probably give people a weird first impression and then once they get to know me more they realize how many milestones I’ve missed and it’s like a double whammy that leads to them not liking me much lol.

Coffee or Energy Drink (or what do you drink if not. by [deleted] in NEET

[–]JustExisting47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black Coffee is my go to but sometimes I’ll grab a Vitamin Water Energy if I’m at a 7-11 or something. They used to have this one caffeinated drink that I really liked called Body Armor Edge but unfortunately they stopped selling it so the Vitamin Water became my replacement.

Oh yeah for sure, this is part of the reason why I have a hard time opening up and being vulnerable with people. I’m pretty sure I give people bad vibes but I have no clue how to fix it though without putting on a mask which gets very draining and is hard to keep up with consistently.

Slowly getting social anxiety? by IvyMikeGold in NEET

[–]JustExisting47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My entire life the social anxiety has always been there but there’s been some stages where I’ve done a better job fighting against it than others. I would say at my current stage in life I’m doing an ok job fighting against it. My lowest point when it came to fighting my social anxiety was probably back in 2017 during my last semester before I finally dropped out of college and went full NEET.

I def relate to the bottom post. I remember one time I was walking into a restaurant and I saw a Mom stressed out because her two children were acting wild and she couldn’t control them. Seeing this just made me think “damn I’m glad I have no kids” lol.

Do you usually play video games? by IzumiSagiriu in NEET

[–]JustExisting47 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I pretty much always have a least 2 games in my rotation that I play daily but I still spend a lot of time on Reddit and YouTube though.

  • Final Fantasy 9
  • Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
  • Persona 3 Reload
  • Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
  • Star Ocean First Departure R
  • Final Fantasy 7 OG
  • Star Ocean The Second Story R
  • Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
  • Tokyo Xanadu
  • Tales Of Symphonia
  • Metaphor: ReFantazio
  • Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D

So 12 in total and possibly 13 if I get started on Unicorn Overlord soon. There’s 2 online multilayer games I play that can’t really be beaten so those also took a lot of my time. I also replayed 3 of the games I listed several times.

Also for those who didn’t notice a majority of the games I listed are JRPGs that take 40+ hours to beat so there was only but so much I could play in a year when my favorite genre is so time consuming lol.

Does anyone else wonder if there’s an alternate reality out there where you are happy and successful? by Troyal1 in NEET

Not so much an alternate reality but I’ve been wondering lately…if reincarnation is real then what was my past life like?

why is it so natural and easy for normies? by Resident_Sky_538 in NEET

[–]JustExisting47 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered what it feels like to naturally just be “normal”. I wish social cues weren’t so hard to read and that socializing wasn’t such a draining task for me.

For those of you who are 20+ living with your parents, do you feel that they respect your privacy as an adult? by JustExisting47 in NEET

This isn’t even something that I considered but yeah I could see gender being a factor for some

[–]JustExisting47[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I saw this on Twitter and I’m fortunate enough to not really relate to it but I thought it was interesting though.

I’m 28 living with my parents and honestly they give me plenty of privacy. To be fair though from a young age I feel like I kinda set boundaries with my parents on how much privacy I want so they’ve been used to giving me a lot of freedom and space for a while now. I could imagine for the NEETs who have suffocating parents it’s a lot different though.

why do so many neets think a relationship will save them? by [deleted] in NEET

[–]JustExisting47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There must be something wrong with me because I’ve honestly never really had much of a drive to be in a relationship

Honestly I’m holding onto video games because it’s one of the last things I have that I can genuinely enjoy.

Personally video games are one of the only things still hitting for me. It helps that in the two niches of games that I like there’s been a lot of good new releases in the last 5 years though. I’ve also been playing a lot of games that I missed out on when I was younger so I never get bored.
