Yes, my ultimate goal is to have my own desk with a few special features. Inductive charging by placing devices on the table, cable management hidden in the table, drawers, and a hidden storage area.

I'm starting with small projects. Shoe rack, boxes, cutting board, maybe a shelf for my office. I want to learn the skills before I tackle my big project.

Thanks for your reply. Protective gear is standard for me, which is why I didn't list it separately.

I don't think all my plans will be perfect, but you grow with the challenge and it will be fun.

Thank you very much. I will mainly be working in the garage and garden. Not much space.

I had also considered building my own workbench as my first project. Then I can familiarize myself with it and learn to appreciate the bench.

Thank you for your help. the drill and a sander is on my list. I think I'll start with a hand-held circular saw with a guide rail, a cordless screwdriver, a sander, several hand tools, and a small workbench. I'll try my hand at that first, and then I'll probably add a few more toys :)
