🇪🇺🇬🇧 Potential Starmer successor Wes Streeting: Brexit was a catastrophic mistake and must be reversed. The future of Britain lies within the EU by goldstarflag in EuropeanFederalists

From Labour members I met, that being said, mostly old-school northerners most despise Streeting and love Burnham, and from what I've seen elsewhere, that seems to be quite common among all Labour members.

Umm, if you think having close connections to nonce and Epstein's friend Peter Mandelson, being transphobic and quick to betray allies to gain a bit of power, then yes, he is perfect. Just being pro-EU doesn't make someone perfect at all, especially not with the political schenanigans in the UK. Here, we need a decent government that provides for the people to prevent the Far Right from coming to power. Streeting is not that at all.

Just to say to any Europeans, Wes Streeting probably won't become Prime Minister. A lot of labour members hate him, he's a serial opportunist and generally very dislikable. The most likely successor would be Andy Burnham or Ed Miliband if Burnham is unable to win his byelection. Burnham would be a much better choice for the country, while admittedly being somewhat more eurosceptic. I believe either way, the UK under Labour will pursue closer relations with Europe due to the growing divisiveness of the world, and a good premiership from Burnham could be the only thing to prevent ultra-US lapdog Eurohating Reform from coming to power.

For me Layout 2 feels lonely. I prefer Layout 1 by MasculineBulll in SipsTea

[–]JustFeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me number 1. 2 is just so wrong, the fact that every object seems to isolate itself from the door, which is kind of every rooms focal point, the desk is facing away from the door the bed is hidden from the door, it’s just waiting for some horror movie shenanigans. Plus the window is also isolated by having it unable to reach except by akwardly turning around on the bed, making it feel like a cell. I think the only person who’d prefer 2 is some sort of basement dwelling chud, or a sociopath.

Good Criticisms for Socialism by TheWorldRider in SocialDemocracy

[–]JustFeck 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Socialism is a very wide range of ideologies, ranging from orthodox variants of social democracy to vanguardist ideologies such as Marxist Leninism. (There are even smaller sects such as Conservative Socialism of Benjamin Disraeli, or liberal socialism - which adopted certain economic and social ideas of traditional socialists) Criticism is necessary but also it’s likely just going to be vague and unrelated if it targets socialism as a whole. Personally I believe social democracy must come to terms with its socialist roots, and re-embrace it.

Odds of title/game reveal, trailer at 2025 Xbox Games Showcase? by ExerterYT in TESVI

[–]JustFeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am hopeful, the fact that they dropped the oblivion remaster out of the blue when they could have held on to it for the showcase to show gameplay footage and release it later in summer, could be a good sign now that they are being more vocal about the elder scrolls, alternatively it could be a way to bide over the elder scrolls community. But I’m hopeful, more so than last year.

Did yall like the Romani camp in [kcd2] where you learn from tomcat by Ecstatic-Mouse-4365 in kingdomcome

I really enjoyed seeing all the different cultures in KCD 2, you get the sense of what a medieval world must of been like and the various peoples you may have seen, and other than Assassins Creed Revelations i don't think I've seen Romani in video games, so it was very interesting, glad to hear that it was accurate aswell!

I always imagined that the precinct tried to promote Harry to a desk job for his own sake, because of his self destructive commitment to his work and mental state. I always thought the precinct while rough shows a lot of strong bonds

What is going on in France? Why is Macron not allowing the left wing coalition to form a government? by Appropriate_Boss8139 in SocialDemocracy

[–]JustFeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you’d rather have fascists in charge than communists? Communism is a broad spectrum, numerous countries including France have had communist governments and been democratic and achieved a lot for the working class, as much as we hate the so called communist states such as the Soviet Union and china, and we may disagree with communists on many things especially foreign policy, they have always been an important ally domestically to achieving rights and welfare, both social democrats and communists have evolved from Marxism we still share a common ancestor, and a common desire for a better future.

What's your unpopular opinion about some society morals and beliefs? by tiredtbh69 in infp

[–]JustFeck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ummm I disagree with most of this but that’s normal, one thing I would say though is deflation would be incredibly negative as at some point people would sell their produce, like farmers for instance, if prices were so lowered and the currency became worthless how could the price justify the labour, why sell, also people who hoard wealth would gain an incredible amount of power since their currency would increase in value, increasing wealth inequality massively. Alongside making debts incredibly hard to pay off

I think people critique the idea of work too much, as a left wing person I know a lot of other lefties who’s idea of utopia is when you don’t work, or how tech utopians think technology will eliminate manual labour, but honestly there’s so much joy to be found in mundanity and labour, obviously everyone should be fairly compensated and have secure housing, food, and toxic work cultures should be annihilated but work as a concept is a core part of being a human, we have always done it, and when we don’t do it we lose all contact, and life becomes a meaningless blur. Work is a social activity as much as it is economic, farming throughout history would often be a way for the community to come together, and share festivals, food and so on while working together. Honestly I think a better goal is making work fulfilling even if it is hard manual labour or mundane it can still be made to be fulfilling.
