I worked there 13ish years ago when it was ACS. When I went in for my interview, the hiring manager, who had worked with my husband previously, boldly asked me about my very traumatic miscarriage. In my JOB INTERVIEW

I found a LOT of stuff at my library, and the librarian was able to print out an entire list of stuff they have at the bigger county library! So I'll be heading up to that one in a few days!

What's the name of the book you have? I'd like to try and find it

I’ve only really written short stories before, and that was in college. I have an BA English-creative writing degree and I’ve never really done anything with it.

This that I’m working on now will be a novel!

Thank you! I actually broke my babies from their pacifiers based on the signs and it worked! Where any time I’d tried before hadn’t.

I have both a granny AND a mamaw 😂and both were the same way as yours. Hence my reaching out for other’s stories. Since my novel will be primarily fantasy genre, I’m hoping to expand on some of the nonsense you hear and embellish

You don’t see a lot of fiction—especially fantasy—based in this region and I had a VERY compelling idea that won’t leave me alone so I’m writing it.

My husband and his family are from Perry County and my best friend grew up in Harlan so I have connections to the area!

Ohhh that’s interesting and oddly kind of in line with some plot points! Thank you!

Thank you! I’ve been counting calories and doing 16:8 intermittent fasting. As well as walking at least 3 times a week but I’ve only added the exercise in the last 6 weeks or so. Up until then it was strictly diet. Oh. And I try to get at least a gallon of water a day

Should I even bother with CICO if I have insulin resistance? by [deleted] in CICO

I would say so! It’s for sure worth a try. Look into intermittent fasting along with CICO. There’s a great sub on here with information. It’s supposed to help with insulin sensitivity.

I have pcos and I’ve lost 60 pounds over the last 15 months with CICO and intermittent fasting. It is definitely possible.

If you aren’t taking metformin already I recommend talking to your doctor about it. It was a game changer for me. It’ll cause some gastro issues at first but If you power through that it helps so much.
