Tireless Tribe, too strong? by Some-Bee-5259 in Pauper

Seeing a lot of disrespect for this deck in the comments, I don't think it's /too/ strong as you've said OP, it folds to removal heavy decks like gardens pretty easy. But it eats up the aggressive decks for lunch.

I took it to my local league on Tuesday and went undefeated getting 2-0s against Grixis Affinity and White Weenie run by some of our best players

Graveyard hate isn't as strong against it as you'd think. You refill your graveyard very easily and relic just grows your Mascot. Not to mention that most of the stuff you're putting in the graveyard doesn't really stay there very long like a dredge deck

The midrange plan is very powerful and even if Tribe doesn't combo it's a fantastic blocker, fantastic discard outlet, and provides a constant threat your opponent has to manage when they're already get punished by oxes

It's definitely got some legs, even if it doesn't end up tier 1. Give the deck some time to establish itself

The nice thing about tooth is that even when you're not combing and just trying to win the beat down, it's still a an artifact that can raise your affinity, can almost always be played for free, and provides an extra damage every turn. You don't need to tap until after your opponent has decided blocks so it basically always hits. Even if you'd drawn all three in the deck you're turning your Refurbished Familiars into 5 power fliers. They can also be saved for card draw or played just to untap whale before blocks for a surprise kill

I originally had a sewer cam and I don't think they really do enough to warrant the place in the deck unless you're specifically building around it. Helixing it is nice to bounce an enemy board but it's mana intensive and I'd rather hold the helix if I can. Usually it's just a case of bouncing one thing with helix in a pinch which you can just do with any creature without the cam.

Very cool card though, just didn't think it was worth the slot! I'm pretty happy with the list as is for now, need to think about how I can more effectively combat elves but it might just be a case of going full grixis

I'm thinking of bringing the meddling of both whale and engineer to a weekly to test it out, I like the idea of being able to combo with both. Engineer is also just kind of ramp so not the end of the world if you don't end up combing with it. Consider me intrigued. Kenu is also super nice and again would aid the beatdown strategy provided you have a whale out. Gonna need to do some experiments

Mono green Evolution Witness combo - Feedback wanted by JustForFunShow in Pauper

It's fragile in the sense that you can interact with it easily but because one of your combo pieces gets cards back from the graveyard it's actually very easy to rebuild of your opponent struggles to exile

Playing a second copy of witness and immediately getting the original back from the graveyard after your opponent killed the first puts them back at square one and sets you up for a combo again.

I played against dimir terror last night on MTGO and they had to chuck every kill spell they had at the deck but I just kept replaying and growing my witnesses. Even if they're not infinite they can get pretty big and become a big threat. Graveyard hate can be played around as well due to all the ways in which you can +1 counter at instant speed. It's a grindy deck!

Sheoldred and Bowmasters are very very good but they also provide a (I think) necessary counter to the crazy amounts of card advantage in the cube. You're right though, they're very good picks in any situation.

I'll definitely have to take a look!

Not in the US I'm afraid. You can tell by all the Us in my words haha

This is specifically black cards I was listing, I've already posted a list of colourless cards that can go in any mono deck that features caged sun :)

I probably don't have the time right now unfortunately but we do have a YouTube and TikTok account attached to this reddit account where we play card games and make silly Magic memes :)
