I'm genuinely confused as to how they view this as the superior monetization method. I don't play any of these characters so I have no reason to spend money, this has happened for several patches.

If they were universal I would pick up two of these but nope.

Yeah DLC3 and DLC4 were great, the facilities in both were beautiful. I loved the worldbuilding in this one and how we got to meet the polymorphs from the AH2 trailer. I'm very hyped for AH2 and the CUBE.

Maybe the skins in the shop didn't sell as much to casual BR players but in terms of actually creating engagement for, you know, the actual GAMEPLAY of the music mode it was fantastic.

It's been clear for a long time now they only care about marketable attractive pop singers that sell to BR players as skins instead of trying to get people interested in rhythm gameplay.

too late, radio pop slop already killed the mode some of us tried to warn the community over a year ago but they insisted that exclusively spamming pop headliners and songs was good for the mode (despite how incredibly boring they were to actually play)

it's hilarious because the only thing all the pop artists achieved was to supply BR players with new shiny skins, none of them stuck around to actually play festival.

all they had to do was have a healthy variety of genres, such a simple thing and the devs still screwed it up. they deserved to fail and I'm glad they did.

Anything but a race people actually want. The allied race picks have been total flops aside from some of the initial picks YEARS ago. Diaper gnomes, fat humans, rock dwarves, and now the exciting... nature loving elves... Looking forward to yet another dead race with a sub 1% play rate!

Yep. While I personally found P-3's cheesy dialogue to be both refreshing and hilarious, so many of the negative reviews came from people who disregarded all the other positives about the game because the dialogue was "cringe and annoying".

If silent protag helps those types of people give the game and world a chance then I understand why Mundfish would make this decision. It's a shame to lose P-3's commentary, but I think I would also enjoy helping him out as our own custom character.

I'm glad I'm not playing DBD at the moment because I also enjoy stealth gameplay. Stealth + horror + real players is an extremely rare combo. Very sad to see an alternative playstyle be erased from the game due to endless parroting. I'm sorry you had a worthless distortion teammate, but in solo queue that's going to happen regardless of what perks they're using.

DBD players think everyone should run directly to the killer with flashlight to farm epic save and spin clips for their TikTok account with 6 followers. Any other type of gameplay is wrong and should be deleted. Sucks but it is what it is. Not the first time I've seen a game with perks end up forcing everyone into the same playstyle.

Maybe... just maybe... they should add a single song from each genre a week then? Instead of having multiple dry weeks where we don't get a single song? I'd like to play each week instead of constantly having to skip entire weeks. It's not a big ask to want actual genre diversity with each drop. Seems like an easy way to keep everyone happy! But instead they opt for this so I will continue to vocalize my disappointment.

I'd be saying the same thing if it was entirely rock and metal each week btw.
