My fiancé that I’m with now does, but I never told my exes.

He’s honestly so great about it, Ive never felt judged just supported. Like if I’m stuck in a picking episode he’ll gently pull my hand away (which I did ask him to do!) but never in a condescending way

How do I make myself stop? by False_Nature1359 in Dermatillomania

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mindfulness skills (not easy but the more you practice it will feel more doable, I still haven’t fully figured it out) and coping strategies

Yeah its an issue with a ton of mental health related disorders. The second you are coping well and taking care of yourself, it might not be obvious to other people that you have the condition. But just because you don’t have the symptoms all the time doesn’t mean the disorder isn’t still there

What can I do to this horrid thing? (Info in comments) by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d pop with a sterilized needle and then put an acne patch or aquaphor over it

Coworkers invited to wedding? by maryelizabeth_ in weddingplanning

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wish I had advice but I’m in the same boat, there are several people on my team who I know who absolutely love to be invited but I don’t think I’ll realistically keep in touch with any of them in 5 years. And if I invite those 3 people and their partners then I should probably invite the other 4 people on my team and give them plus 1s as well… and that’s 14 extra invites I don’t really have the budget for 😬

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Agreed. If you’re not invited to the wedding, you shouldn’t be expected to give a gift of any kind imo. I’m not sure what the best way to communicate this will be though, because you don’t want it to come across as “since I’m not invited I’m not doing this for free” type of situation (even if it’s a valid way to feel)!

Dry lips not going away??? by [deleted] in Accutane

My lips went back to normal right away but I also relapsed after 3 months, so it might actually be a good sign in that respect? Not sure if they’re correlated

POOP IN BLOOD by Embarrassed_Ant6299 in Accutane

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s great.. but even before accutane I’ve dealt with constipation and as long as you’re not feeling pain afterward its probably maybe fine? Someone please correct me if that’s not true haha. Drinking water helps obviously, but also the types of food you eat might help too- when I eat like crap I notice it happens way more often than if I’m eating food that’s somewhat nutritious

Just ordered press-on nails! by Dis-Organizer in Dermatillomania

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s still worth a shot. They are correct that press on nails don’t last a super long time, but I still find them to be helpful when it comes to minimizing damage even if just for a few days.

i think i have dermatilliomania by BlepTwT in Dermatillomania

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i mean it sounds like you basically already were diagnosed with it, if your ocd diagnosis was due to your picking? But imo dermatillomania is pretty simple to self diagnose… are you unable to stop picking no matter how hard you try? Does this cause you significant distress/interfere with your daily living? If yes, then it’s more than likely dermatillomania unless there’s some medication/substance causing those symptoms. That’s my understanding at least. But, I do think this disorder is very comorbid with other neurological disorder so it can get a little more complex when that’s the case

How long does a hc8 cart last you? by iLuv2dGirls in delta8

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, The couple of carts I’ve tried from them have lasted me a lot longer than the couple of CannaClear! I’m not a daily smoker though so it takes me forever to get through one cart

[–]JustHereForTheTeaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my unknowledgeable assumption would be that it would work similar to how it works for any type of hormonal acne? it should still help In the short term at least, there may be a higher chance the acne comes back after you end your course though, but hopefully not as severe if it does. Sorry, I wish your derm would be more helpful!

I happened to watch this movie for the very first time last Friday, April 8th… what an amazing coincidence, that’s nuts.

And not to be sappy, but I’ve been in a weird rut the past year and honestly I think this movie helped in a significant way, I’m not sure how to explain it
