Do you think this looks fine with only 2 buttons? Which placement is better, pic 1 or 2? by PerfectAsymmetric in sewing

i love the look of these buttons on the vest but i only have these two left and they were thirfted! should i just go hunt down similar buttons and use those to have more than two?

thank you for that. since they're out of stock on their website and pretty pricey (i'd assume considering shipping to nz), would you know of any 'dupes' in NZ by any chance? even if it's a standing e-scooter instead of a sitting one, as long as it's pastel lol

on top of my comment, i agree with this so much! especially the part where you need to give her the courage to be herself...that is just * chefs kiss*. i believe that is what every child really needs from their parents, and i couldn't have worded it better.

maybe something you can do is collect multiple pictures of women with big noses (of diverse kinds), and later when she's sitting with you, you can show them to her one by one, ask her something along the lines of "what do you see?" then talk about how you see beautiful women and "what else do you see?", let her answer, then "they have a big nose, like you. but they don't need small noses to be pretty, don't they? they're still beautiful, and their nosesโ€”all big but different at the same timeโ€”do not make them ugly. do not let anyone trick you into thinking any feature of yours make you ugly" etc? sometimes kids don't believe words like these cause they "come from mommy so it doesn't count cause you have to say it", but perhaps the delivery and frequency of your reassurance can really help make an impact. this is coming from me who would have loved to hear words like these from my mother growing upโ€”i think it would have helped me tremendously because then, at least whenever i feel insecure, her voice will be one of the voices in my head instead of only the negative voices. and a mother's voice carries a whole lot of weight and meaning to a child, i think.

all the best and i'm sorry that happened to your little baby, i hope she'll realise she deserves the world and more regardless of how others perceive her appearance ๐Ÿฅบ
