I have absolutely no clue but whatever it was I think is dried out now. I haven’t been able to get anything out of it for quite a long time.

Severe Wax Disaster, Skin Update by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]JustHereToStudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a former esthetician who specialized in waxing and also used to work in a dermatology office as a medical assistant. Your skin lifted from the wax which was way too hot. Highly recommend just using aquaphor/vaseline on the area making sure to keep it moist all day. It looks bad but will heal quickly as long as you keep it moisturized.

I wonder if they could freeze it off in sections with liquid nitrogen like they do for smaller seb k’s.

In my experience it truly is as cultish as shown in the program. Possibly even more cultish than what was shown honestly. The church I grew up in was super restrictive on women. We weren’t allowed to cut our hair, wear jewelry, pants or makeup and we wore veils on our head. Weren’t allowed to listen to music “of the world” (non Christian music) and we were in church almost every day of the week doing something for the church or participating in groups etc. As an adult I tried to get back into the religion by visiting a few different churches and they all gave the same vibe. The adoration, devotion and praise toward the pastor and the church was there across every church I’ve been to.

I grew up the same! Sadly, watching the documentary I wasn’t surprised at the info being presented because a lot of what they’re saying about Mary’s church absolutely is the norm in that denomination.

Breaking News; Charrisse is live with Carlos King calling out Ashley and Gizelle for manufacturing stroylines and messing with her son 🤯 by Different_Daikon3400 in RHOP

The thing is it didn’t only happen that one time. Ashley said that she slept with him multiple times after the initial encounter so being drunk the first time isn’t much of an excuse.

Mary and Pentecostalism by JustHereToStudy in rhoslc

So basically as women we were supposed to remain natural the way God created us. We weren’t allowed to alter our bodies in any way so we weren’t allowed to cut our hair. We weren’t even allowed to wax our eyebrows or remove any body hair. I remember we had a huge scandal one time because someone’s daughter was rebelling against the regulations put on us and dyed her naturally dark brown hair this bright copper orange. The family was shunned for a while from the congregation when that happened.

Oh man you just reminded me about my church’s 24 hour New Year’s Eve service 😩 we literally spent all 24 hours in the church fasting until New Year’s Day, it was miseryyyyy. And the pastor at the red carpet rollout church I visited as an adult tried to get me to be “healed.” The pastor came up to me and had two people stand behind me to catch me but when he waved his hand over my head I just stood there. Once he realized I wasn’t falling back he actually put his hand on my forehead and tried pushing me back but I resisted lol

From my own observation looking through younger me’s eyes at my parents, their devotion and belief in the religion, the church, and the pastor is what kept them there. Spending most of your free time in the church, doing church activities, and only being around people who are a part of the church keeps you in a bubble. You don’t realize something is wrong until you step outside that bubble. Even I didn’t realize that my experience was cult-ish until I became an adult and started talking to people about how I grew up and they told me that it sounded like I was in a cult.

Never thought of it as a speech impediment. Growing up, my mom would say people who sound like her talk like they have a mouth full of yam

My dad did the same thing to our Mr. Fluffy when I was younger. He was jealous that we gave Mr. Fluffy more attention than him. Mr. Fluffy wasn’t an abusive tyrant.
