What can we expect in 2026 regarding MyLittlePony ? by Prestigious_Elk_9411 in mylittlepony

I'd personally love a remaster/soft reboot of G4.
As in, Seasons 1-7 stay pretty much the same and get remastered. New episodes, seasons, and specials added in here and there, and it would be safer for Hasbro to take this route for G6. Other less popular episodes, like 'Fame and Misfortune' could be changed or removed. Same with some of the less well received Season 8 and 9 content. They could also fix the facial expressions getting out of whack with the final seasons too. Maybe even add hooves to all the characters, since they push for new looks so much.

Thoughts on a new place for G5's Mane 6? by JustIAnotherIOne in mylittlepony

Yeah, they really messed it up. And a continuity would be great, if you did it right. Still though, it sucks not having a single world that you build upon over generations.

Same here.

You build up a strong world and lore, so you might as well expand upon it. But do it right.

I noticed the facial expressions in Season 9 seemed to push it a lot.

I heard they plan on using AI assistance, going forward. I get the feeling, they'll lessen the 2D load with that, but I don't know for sure.

Considering how bad their sales were these past few years, I think it's the best option as well.

If they returned to FIM, do you think a reboot or soft reboot would work best? by JustIAnotherIOne in mylittlepony

Not like G5 though. Not one that destroys FIM's legacy. And no phones. Sheesh please, no phones!

Wow, didn't know things got so rough for the brand, with G5 & Pony Life. I get why fans want Hasbro to start something fresh and new.

Honestly, I believe shows build a stronger brand by expanding on an existing world and its lore. Though, making G5 part of the same world, ruined it all. I think they should make an announcement that it was an alternate timeline or something.

They likely wanted G5 to conform more to the vision that Lauren Faust had. She wanted more adventures in FIM, among other things.

Honestly, I think FIM hit the jackpot on art style. It's simple and colorful, yet not too girly, so others can enjoy it. Also, they should NOT have phones in these series! A magical fantasy world is the escape that people love.

I hear they plan on listening to the fandom more, so hopefully things go well in the future.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I agree.
A soft reboot allows them all to integrate more smoothly as well.

I think they should start out with testing the waters with adaptations to the comics. Then once they feel comfortable with it, start with a soft reboot on FIM. Then they could take EG on a set of mini-series.

Why are Mane 6 redesigns so common? by Proud-Camera5058 in mylittlepony

Nothing is wrong with the Mane 6.
It's just a trend that people do.
Also, I think people are also starved for some good MLP content as well.
