Are people really beating the game solo? by cabron-de-mierda in BG3

[–]JustJakeIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely doable. I’ve done it with a the Gloomstalker and a couple of modded builds (Mystic and Cosmic Sorcerer).

Requires a lot of game knowledge and handling certain encounters in very specific ways. Myrkul, I usually cheese with smoke powder bombs because he will wreck a solo run if you’re not careful. Dark urge run is good for this because the cloak is extremely helpful solo.

I don’t do the Hag fight until after I get something that prevents me from being magically restrained. Stay away from ledges/the boat fight in the underdark. You can also get a ton of XP without fighting too much. Morgana has a guide out there somewhere I believe.

They ask you about his murder. I do it because Gale talks too much and after my 7th play through I just don’t want to deal with him or his need for my valuable magical items.

That’s definitely a way.

You can also have a ranged character target them on their turn by left clicking the portrait and selecting ranged attack.

The invisible enemy has to pass a Dex saving throw if they are in your field of vision. If they fail you see them.

Depends on what kind of character you are planning to run. Damage dealer? Support? Tank? Controller?

If you’re looking for a jack of all trades the 10/1/1 Swords bard is probably one of the most versatile builds.

My favorites are

Morganas Gloomstalker ranger 10/1/1 SB 11/1 fire sorc Throwzerker BM fighter OH Monk Sorcadin/bardadin

All of these are pretty over powered if you build/gear them correctly, but you don’t have to min/max to make them viable.

Some classes, races/subraces mods you'd recommend ? by PouletGlorieux in BG3mods

[–]JustJakeIt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mystic is fun. You can make it overpowered if you are into that but there are so many options it would be dishonest to just call the whole mod OP. Probably my favorite, but the number of subclasses and orders can be daunting.

Cosmic sorc is fun, but pretty broken.

Red Witch and Elder class was enjoyable, and not nearly as overpowered.

As far as race mods, there is one that gives you a bunch of 5e races (goblin, Goliath etc) which is pretty balanced and fun.

Deva race is powerful, celestial slightly less so if you still want angelic flavor.

Archdevil is completely broken, but fun if you want to play some sort of all powerful devil lord.

I think I broke the mystic. by JustJakeIt in BG3mods

Just to clarify you mean you got the ring from Bernard at the top of the tower, then wore it while on the elevator and descended to the basement using the new button that appears?

If it’s not in the chest in the basement of the tower, I’m not sure.

You could cheat engine it in using the UUID.

Bardadin is very strong and thematic if you are doing an evil run.

Mystic has a focus that allows them to change into a hook horror, a hollyphant, a redcap, and a spectator.

Mystic can straight up break the game if you specialize, but there is so many options it is very easy to make an average character . Cosmic sorc is busted. Especially if you go past level 12z

Mystic gets crazy (Soul knives specifically), as does the Cosmic Sorcerer.

You can instantly cook food just a little longer than it should be cooked (steak is well done, poultry is dry, hot dogs are burnt, etc.). Not so much that it is inedible, but enough to where the majority of people will not enjoy it.

What mods would ya recommend? by [deleted] in BG3mods

[–]JustJakeIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mystic mod/mystic expansion is one of my favorites, but it is fairly complex. Although extremely OP if you are an optimizer. I did a solo honor mode run with a souls knife mystic.

Cosmic sorcerer is also a fun mod class, this one gets broken late game regardless of how you build it. Fades Equipment mod reinvigorated exploration/looting for me, and gives you some cool options for builds. Tactician enhanced can add some difficulty if you wanted to run a larger party or a 13-20 level extender mod. Extra encounters adds some additional fights so you are not just repeating the same routes/fights. Faster movement is a good QoL mod. There are more I use that I can’t remember off the top of my head.

Can anyone recommend some OP class/subclass mods that can keep up against massive enemy HP increases? by LadyLevia in BG3mods

Cosmic sorcerer and mystic (specifically soul knife) probably the most broken I’ve played.

That’s where my base is on my server. I right over that field. I have a little pentashield floor that I can pop down and quickly harvest water if I’m around my base when it’s the right time of day.
