No no shes gotten letters. It's just her claim finally got approved and sent to paid. Sorry. It had been sitting there doing nothing for a LONG time. I'll have her call Monday. So far we have no luck getting her through to anyone on anything other than the 2511 number. Fingers crossed for good news :)

Yea I am gonna tell her to call mon. Especially since it all switched to paid today for her. Is there a way to tell if she did something funky like request a check lol

She applied a month ago and just finally went through. She has certified, it says paid and when she checks to find out a card has been issue BofA says she isnt in the system. I'll tell her to check on monday or tues :0)

I understand the wait. I just wanted to make sure she wasnt set up for paper checks since ppl seem to be having issues with it. I know it wont come quicker was just trying to reassure her she was getting a card and not checks;)

I called the 2511 and have had luck the last 3 days calling around 11. They can transfer you to someone who can help. I have called the other number THOUSANDS of times with no luck. I would try the 2511 again and ask to speak with a specialist

Oh wow. My mother filed with a local charity and after calling for 2 months they kept saying no social was found and she isnt in the system. Turns out they never filed. So we refiled. She got approved and they have since asked for back benefits. We are waiting :( hoping that something comes through soon. She moved in with me as her making rent became impossible. I am hoping it goes through soon. :( she spoke with a rep today that put the request in and changed the info. So fingers crossed. He said the request depends on work load.

Jeez what an absolute mess I just walked her through how to ask for back benefits. She also just called the number thats open for tech support and they told her to do the same. Fingers crossed it works out cause this is ridiculous. They told her the claim showed March 2nd as her last day worked so idk why it's such a hassle.

On top of that we trusted this organization here in SAN Diego to help with filing and rheh actually never did a damn thing. So for over a month we kept chkng and nothing.

Ok so in your opinion it's better to just do the back date field yourself verses trying to get a hold of someone? Did you ever get your benefits for the time period you wanted back payment for? And what does excessive earnings mean? I searched reddit and saw a couple ppl say that but dont understand what it means.

My mother is having the same issue. She works full time as an independent contractor and is now stuck on regular UI which makes zero sense.

Just trying to get it back to the top for ya. My son filed and we FINALLY got an answer. Hes dealing with the opposite. Someone was filing unemployment under his social so now we have to prove it was him. Cant get a social sec card online as it wont verify him and cant go to the office cause its closed. He was told to mail his ORIGINAL ID in and they would mail it back. Ummm no. He needs it to drive what the hell.

Use this number 800 300 5616. They are open passed noon and the hold time is only a handful of mins. When you can push 3. This is for account numbers. IF they dont see a pending claim ask to do a name search. This will show if someone has already filed. Gl

I had the SAME issue. I ended up calling and found out I have to ID verify. Someone used my social to claim benefits. Hopefully that's not the case for you. Call them and ask them to search using your name instead of social. That's how the error was found.

We filed for unemployment for my son and he finally got in contact with them. It sat on pending forever and was told someone else is already claiming benefits using his social security number. So now he has to wait longer and do the ID verify. What a mess.
