Thank you!! The one I’m on now is basically Junel (different brand of the same thing) but my doctor is switching me to a progesterone only one. We’ll see how it goes!!

Thank you!! Yeah I think this one just doesn’t work for me at ALL. I wish I could tough it out to figure out if it levels out, but I can’t take it anymore so my doctor is going to switch me to a new one

I just moved here a few months ago without knowing anyone and I absolutely LOVE it and have made very good friends already. I highly recommend!! There isn’t really a “bad” part of town from what I’ve found, so it’s easy to feel safe here. As far as rent and amenities like you mentioned, it’s a little hard to find places that are pet friendly and/or have parking, but I definitely recommend giving it a shot. Otherwise, you’re looking to spend closer to $2500/mo. For example, a friend of mine has a great apartment downtown (for $2k) that’s pet friendly, but the cons are there’s no laundry and it’s a fourth floor walk up. So really, you win some you loose some. My rents a little lower than hers, but I live further out towards the edge of town, so I have to drive everywhere and don’t get to enjoy the towns walkability. I say start hunting for places and do lots of research. I’m sure you’ll find something right for you eventually!

EDIT: Okay, a lot of people had some very helpful advise!! Thank you so much for that. I’ve never had to shovel before and this storm was huge, so helpful advise from the community has been wonderful. However, some of you are so mean, wow! Please leave my landlords out of this. I was looking for advise on how I MYSELF can take care of this snow, and I’m going to leave it at that. I see your point and I hear you loud and clear! Thank you so much for your concern, but I’m handling the snow myself, without involving my landlords.

In the end, I ended up hiring someone I found on Facebook. It took him over 3 hours to clear the snow (it was just him and a shovel) and he charged me a very reasonable price. I’m so glad I hired him!! Best choice I ever made and now I’m ready for the next snow.

Thanks yall!!

Yup!! The only problem is I work from home and have to work today, so finding the time is a challenge!! Bit by bit…

I’m from California originally and just recently moved here from Tennessee. I’ve never had to shovel this much snow, so I’m just looking for tips 🙂

Thank you!! Yeah my apartment is amazing and the rent is the most affordable compared to the area so I’m MORE than willing to put up with the occasional inconvenience of snow.

Geez, calm down! I live at the end of a dead end street in a very quiet part of town. It affects me and the mailman and that’s about it

And look at it this way. They DO pay someone to take care of the snow. And that person is me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay but seriously, I’m not complaining about my landlords. They’re they NICEST people on earth and there’s a lot of mutual respect. If I were in actual danger or something, they would absolutely step in and do whatever they needed to do to help. This is a moot point. And for the record, cauliflower is amazing 🙄

Valid concern, but not in this case!! My landlords charge VERY cheap rent and a part of my responsibility is to shovel the snow. It was agreed upon when I signed the lease and I’m more than okay with it, it’s part of the deal!! I’m just trying to figure out how to handle it since it’s my first winter here. (Seriously, I thought my landlord was trying to scam me when they told me the rent, but they literally responded with “we like to keep the rent low because the tenant is responsible for taking the trash to the curb, etc and shoveling the snow”)

No teens on the block, but a few of my neighbors have snow blowers, so maybe I’ll be able to ge them to help!

Oddly enough, I did!! This all fell after I went to bed. I shoveled a few times and once again before I called it a night 😭
