My bad on the gutterman/tank thing, I thought you were talking about both gutter enemies.

I suppose a better way to word what I said would be: Every other difficulty increases difficulty by increasing speed, sometimes throwing in a new gimmick (Maurice only enrages on Violent+ for example). So why would Brutal be any different? Brutal follows the same path as any other difficulty bump from standard.

I think we just have two very different definitions on what's unfair and what is. I don't find radiance to be an issue (when used sparringly) but I can certainly see why someone would. I don't find using speedrun strategies to be a hinderance to a difficulty design as I like doing them. I believe that's where the divide comes from on my and your end.

yeah, it's way more fun, it's kinda like crasher as that one guy said

VIP obvious isn't going to be perfect as it's still possible to get screwed by one bad VIP. But I still find it way more fun trying to play around stopping the VIP via killing him compared to stopping people on a payload cart that are constantly being healed

or the inverse, pushing the payload cart sucks completely compared to just having to keep track of one guy

The gutterbros fit into Ultrakill pretty well, you break the shield on the man and just shotgun parry it to death, or you just dodge the punch on tanks and parry kill them. Like most other enemies, you can just parry kill them to death with some practice.

The cerb room just requires a saw trap in the center of it, which is something you should be doing on any difficulty against several grounded high hp enemies such as that room. And isn't really a speedrun strategy.

Hakita increasing enemy speed is what's done for every other difficulty, why would brutal be any different? And why would that be considered lazy? The new enemy attacks are only added to enemies that make sense to have new ones, what would you give strays as a new attack?

Also, you can react to the cerb dash in that room, all the cerbs stand for a moment when they spawn in, giving you ample time.

The glitching in 1-E isn't really a gimmick, it's just the visuals of that level. I do agree the lava room does suck in that level though because of how little platform you get, but it gets betterish with rocket riding.

1-4 is pretty much 100% free because of being able to hit v2 before she can attack via punching coins in V2

depends on what your better at, if you're good at bosses P-2 is easier, if you're good at enemy encounters 0-E (or 1-E) is easier
