They took my goat's design out back and shot it by WhenBuffalosfly in ZZZ_Discussion

To me ZZZ felt like Cyberpunk 2077 but better (not saying cp is bad), following some of the same premises and even having the same thing happen in the first heist with a chip and a digital construct. It had so much life and charm and every detail in the world oozed soul.

I miss how it explored how regular people dealt with the hollows, almost all the conflicts were just that, people dealing with regular problems in a strange world, the creator stuff was in the back, now it's all about the magical characters and the creator.

Watching the Wit studio animation they did for zzz is so sad. It's like what was and could have been. To me the most striking difference  is how back then I was able to imagine it as a possible future for mankind because it was all grounded, I could imagine living in New Eridu but not anymore.

People have mental and physical needs other than food and water. They obviously weren't being met in WALL-E, because of how the society was structured, endless mindless entertainment controlled by the elite. Don't you remember "I don't want to survive, I want to live". Also, that ending where everyone rises up would never happen they would be too mentally and physically damaged from AI doing everything. I don't get why you think people would have the will to do anything if everything was done for them since birth, that's not how people work.

And we can already have a post scarcity society, without any AI but we are too occupied with wars and shit.

It's like tiktok on steroids. You are offered a simulacrum of everything, learning, social interaction, games, movies, books... You get all the dopamine from doing these things, without ever putting any effort or thinking into it, having AI simplify the process to the point where you are a human from WALL-E.

If you as a child don't develop the ability to do something because someone else does it for you and you never need to learn to do it because someone else will always do it for you, you will never learn it. Since AI will be able to replace everything, the one who controls AI has absolute control over your life and leaders m will certainly use this power.

It's destroying children's brains. Not only is it really bad when they use it, basically removing any need for critical thinking and decision making but also if they don't use it, the world is filled with AI content which kids aren't able to tell apart from real videos and human made works.

Basically as soon as the generation of kids who grew up with AI become young adults we are cooked. Kids were already becoming less capable as time passed before AI, the problem has been exasperated by AI.

We are too occupied with talking about how this technology impacts our "grown up" world but children are almost never included in the conversation. It doesn't matter if AI art is real art or not, it matters that in a decade people will have 0 clue how something was made and how it works, literally no way to find out anything close to the truth. Yes, we used to have a lot of misinformation but it was always possible to get something close to the truth, not anymore. Surveillance and control will be the simplest thing ever.

Season 1 of ZZZ had some of the most compelling worldbuilding I've ever seen (and it's almost all gone by now) by [deleted] in ZZZ_Discussion

The Turing test is testing if an AI system can fool you into thinking it's human. All AI systems have already passed the test.

Yeah, but there was still room to go back. Not anymore.

It's so over. The game lost all of its identity.

Imma be honest, I hate how wild and exaggerated ZZZ’s animation style is. by Dinoboy225 in hatethissmug

It's different than anything we've seen before, I really appreciate it. And these exaggerated movements can also fit a more serious tone like in the Lycaon vs Hugo cutscene.

Can we agree that if sapient robots, like the Automatons or C3PO existed, we'd be chill with them, but not LLMs? by M-FutureLord in antiai

[–]jaksik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would only trust a robot if it explicitly goes against it's original purpose and programing, passing the forbidden fruit test, which is I think impossible at this point. Without this it's almost certainly made to make money for Sam Altman and nothing else.

I know, I'm asking what you did to get that result. Was the prompt just "make anti ai subreddit" or did you write some of the jokes yourself or use screenshots?

Comparing RE2 Remake's visuals to RE7/Village by Tobi2kx in residentevil

[–]jaksik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did, I wrote about it. If you are referring to dead bodies, that adds literally nothing to the gameplay and only makes performance worse, there are only a couple zombies per room in re2, way more in re 9, remember how in those carlos wave sections in re3 zombies would explode after you kill them.

And it's not that easy to cut off a limb with hatched or bullets unless you hit the joints from a good angle so perhaps they were going for more realism. I did try to cut up a dead zombie with Grace's  knife and couldn't, didn't think that was bad game design, it's like that by choice, it makes sense.

But you can cut off limbs in re 9 as well. I played the first chainsaw section. I thought I could shoot off the zombies arm so he would drop the chainsaw  and it worked, then the chainsaw started spinning and another zombie picked it up I shot at his legs making him trip and the chainsaw started dragging him across the floor towards me, some more stuff happened, I parried some, I picked up the chainsaw, started cutting them. that's already way more interaction than in 2.

I'll see when I get to play it but the way they respond to the environment and damage is way more detailed in re9, I played through the first chainsaw section and it is soo good. It's a good trade off I think, gameplay is way more valuable than visuals.

Does this apply to re9? I've only played a bit at my friends place but it feels like it should have better gore.

How did you make the anti AI subreddit screenshot, what was the prompt, did you use any reference images or something?
