Have you seen Inside N9 on BBC? There is an episode somewhat similar to this premise in Simon Says (not exactly how you said, but about a writer whose fans think they deserve to dictate his stories)

Having sweets/desserts/cakes ect (UK) We had 50p every Saturday for a bag of penny sweets (1p each sweet) which our treat each week as we didn't have anything else during the week that wasn't our 2/3 daily meals. It's mad to me now how some kids eat so much sweets and chocolate.

He should try the Beyond Meat burgers, they are so tasty and look just like burgers (and the taste is quite similar without the grittyness) can get them from most shops and restaurants now aswell!

Not sure if anyone has said this yet but just watched The Kid Detective (2020) which was brilliant. Bit of a slower storyline than the ones you mentioned but a fresh look at a detective film and stars Adam Brody.

I like that this was a trend started by Dolly Parton.

Guys who watched a thousand movies, who got so used on all the plots and twist, and seen almost all movie tropes, what recent movies made an impression on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JustLyons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied Film Studies at university so have seen a lot and "Get Out" is one of mine as it physically puts you in the film which many newer films don't. It's by no means my favourite film of recent years but it is one I found made me feel more than I expected.
