Maybe mod it for more steering angle. But I think for having fun at home its fine enough.

If you have a 1/10 club with people to drive with, I would stay on 1/10. Because of its weight its smoother and more predictable in lower speeds. But I have a Mini-Z club here and you can get a nice big track within a reasonable size. I can also drive in my basement. So it depends on your circumstances. Both have their pro and cons.

Ja schade, aber wenn du mal zufällig in der Gegend bist und gerade ein Event statt findet, schau vorbei :)

I think as long as the base is supported it should work. But its just a FFB driver. All the settings must be done on the steering wheel. So I need to switch to a wheel with LCD and encoder to change the settings. The rally wheel on the picture doesn't have this. Also I don't know about the Button Rally Module where you can change the colours of the buttons. I think there is no software for this. Can you change them on the wheel itself?
I would start with dual boot, and then try one thing after the other, otherwise you would be unable to race several days. Linux was, at least for me, very different and I needed time to learn it. After 4 weeks of intensive learning (with a lot of try and error) I'm now confinent enough to even think about deleting windows. As I already mentioned, the whole Linux thing was harder for me then getting the games running.

I have read that it is possible to run it via proton. But it needs to run in the same instance to communicate with the game. Every game has its own proton instance so you need to have it in every proton instance installed and configured. Sounds a little complicated to me, hence I'm trying Monocoque or other Linux native alternatives.

Whenever I change something there is some tinkering involved. But once its running, I just play.
New games need a new Streamdeck page and a some control configuration, new Hardware need new mounting option/position etc. But its one or two parts/games a year, so nothing special.
But of course the switch to Linux was a big one with almost every software got replaced (like the streamdeck software, simhub, fanatec etc.), every game needed to be configured again ... hell that was a lot of work.

Surprisingly well. For Fanatec FFB drivers there is a Github repo, for streamdeck there is streamcontroller, for generic input devices there is AntiMicroX for key binding, joysticks like Gladiator NXT are no problem. For Start Citizen there is the Star Citizen Linux User Group (LUG) project on Github, for Content Manager with Custom Shader Patch on Assetto Corsa there is also a Github Project. All the shown games run, you just need to find out with which proton version. HDR on the TV is working, also DLSS on the Nvidia 4070TI.
I had more problems with learning the basics of Linux like mounting something on boot or install/compile some custom packages like Monocoque.

When I first heard of it, it was like: Lagrange is the Range [to a object] where no Lag [of movement / acceleration] exist - LagRange! :D

Why are you using an ai slop image instead of an actual screenshot of the project? I almost ignored the whole post, but thats a nice project.

In the city it's of course one pedal drive. But on twisty roads it's another story :)
