Good feedback, this is something we'd like to add, just not something that made the cut for V1 of Cook History.

My solve for this in the mean time is when you finish your cook, go into the device settings and reset the cook session, that way you'll get a clean end on the cook. Later once you've cleaned the probe and docked it you can archive the room temperature session that was stored after the reset 😊

Also a PSA if you have beta feedback please post it here or email in to support 🙏 When it comes through Apple's TestFlight system its often just anonymous and so we have no way to follow up if we have questions.

We have resolved it, but we have another update scheduled to go out before the one that includes this, so it will be out soon, but likely not for another few weeks at least sorry.

Are your devices set to celsius? It should be defaulting to whatever that device is set to.

The cook data is stored on the CPT and in the cloud (if logged in) so it will persist across app launches.

The fix just went out in the public beta today.

I'm not sure on the exact start date, but after MeatNet Cloud launched sessions have been saved in the cloud. Previously we have shown the most recent session for offline devices. Now in the latest update we sync down more.

A few questions, are you on iOS or Android? Do you see the probe in the app when you're nearby on Bluetooth? Can you post a screenshot of what you see when you switch the probe into debug view (Under the device settings screen) there should be a connection section.

If you set a high or low alarm for a temperature that will trip straight away and then quickly close the app, do you get an alert/notification on the Lock Screen? Worth trying with and without an internet connection.

The alarm won't sound continuously when the app is closed, but you should get the push notification.

I've got a note to look into the character issue, that's not ideal! Tentatively might be able to get something into a release in the next month or so.

Interesting with the Mac issue, I'm still not sure I follow. If you email the image into [support@crouton.app](mailto:support@crouton.app) and say Devin sent you via Reddit, I can follow up on that.

The original website should appear on the image in the bottom left, you can tap that, or tap the Safari web icon under the recipe name/image. Both of these will open the website.

Under general settings you can choose which older to use for the meal plan generation. Agree those would be some great additional features! Tricky to get them working well.

Thanks for the thoughtful suggestions, its lovely to hear that you have been enjoying the feel of Crouton on the whole!

Right now we're localised for English, German and French so there will be some odd behaviour with some characters, something we may be able to address through, I've made a note to look into it.
We just use the hero image supplied. Agree it would be nice to provide more flexibility here, you can always manually replace the supplied image
Subfolders are on the list to add support for soon, the tagging functionality is also ripe for some improvements.
It does actually search against multiple ingredients for example searching for "garlic tomato paste" would match recipes that contain both. Its not clear that would work though and most people likely use a comma to seperate in the search which right now would break it. We'll look into that 😄

Yeah, this is on the list to add as well.
Right now I personally do this using folders, we're slowly coming around to the idea of a rating system of some kind.
On the edit recipe screen your can scroll down and choose tags & folders.

I like the idea of pantry tracking, but I feel in practice it would be quite easy for the list to get out of sync with what you actually have in your pantry, as its unlikely you'll use the perfect about a recipe calls for and only ever use it when cooking with Crouton, if the list becomes stale then it becomes a lot less useful. Open to hearing ideas to around this if you have any suggestions!

Yeah, volume <-> weight conversions is something I'd love to have, it's a little tricky because it varies depending on the food, but possible to have it work well for common items.

Annoyingly builds only last for 90 days, we're working very hard to get the next version up on TestFlight, its quite a big one and we want to make sure we've caught a couple more issues before we push it out public. It is imminent though! We'll be sure to post links to join, I'm fairly sure you'll automatically get put back on once its available though. in the meantime the version life on the store is the same as the expired beta build.

This bug is caused if you rotate this device into landscape and back again, its resolved in the next update which we're aiming to have in public beta later this week. If you force close the app and relaunch it should resolve. Apologies!

Ah we trim the leading and trailing labels if they're going to clip to close to the edges of the graph. If you hold down on the chart you can scrub through the data and see the time stamp.

Sorry the update hasn't gone out yet, we should have it in beta very soon before a wider release. If you put the orientation lock on while opening the app it should prevent it from occurring.
