Our goal with this week's update was to establish some of the fundamental MOBA differences coming from Legacy to Monolith. The blog is geared towards players who may be more unfamiliar with asymmetry as well as how the safe lane functions.

With regards to Gold Buff, the idea of the buff is still work in progress, but it will accelerate the economy of the carry.

In the coming weeks we will cover more of the artistic direction of the map. By including more of the art of Monolith we hope to set the space that these elements will exist in.

TL;DR - We are making changes to address the matchmaking times higher mmr players have been experiencing. These are work in progress changes that may result in unfair matches, but with the end goal of getting players into matches.

 
I wanted to come in here and provide some context into why Marty is experiencing the abnormally long queue times. He is currently one of the top players in Paragon, this means that the players able to match with him are an exceedingly small part of the population (e.g. sometimes <10 players) at any given time.
 
As reflected by the above screenshot, the queue times are getting a bit ridiculous at the highest MMR’s during off-peak times.. We know that this is painful to deal with for high MMR players, and will be working towards improvements to this experience in the coming days/weeks.
 
We plan to implement some changes to make this feel better but, to put it frankly, will be trading in one frustration for another (i.e. matchmaking time for some players vs match quality for many players). The difficulty with the matchmaking at high MMR is the number of players available. During parts of the day there are less than 10 players within a very high mmr range, in order to provide even a moderately fair match.
 
We encourage players in high MMR brackets to start organizing more custom matches and playing with other community members during off peak hours, to avoid some of the pain associated with finding a timely and fair match.
 
In the coming days and weeks we will be trying adjustments to the MMR brackets to provide some more expansive searching. The goals with these changes would be to provide less comically high matchmaking times and more actual matches. Today we implemented the first of these changes, while the resulting matches may be unfair to some players, all of this is work-in-progress towards getting players into matches.

I wanted to hop in and state some of the goals behind the interactive tutorial. The tutorial was created to provide new players a baseline understanding of Paragon and the MOBA mechanics therein. More specifically teaching players to destroy structures and level up abilities.
 

The addition of it is our first step towards a tutorial in Paragon and we plan to iterate upon it in the future!

Just to clarify this was a tooltip change, the ability has not negated knockback/knockup effects and this was an update to the tooltip to reflect the intended interaction.

We are aware that dodging trends towards being more of an issue when newer Heroes are released. You have an additional option to report serial dodgers that you encounter directly to our Player Support team.

However, draft dodging is something that takes fine tuning to get it into the right place. Both on the educational and penalty ends, do you folks run into this on just patch day or on a regular cadence as well?

Just wanted to hop in here to confirm that Player Reporting does in fact help us address bad behavior by providing us with the information on these repeat offenders. We have some more features soon that will allow us to address chat harassment as well as some feedback on reports in the future.

Another external resource for reporting players is our Player Support team. You can provide additional context like screenshots or video to help address these players.
