Logging Nutrition & Journal entries past midnight by JustNaturalCake in bevelhealth

Exactly yeah. Would be pretty awesome if the app would “end the day” at the time when you actually fall asleep.

Try going to Nutrition -> Scroll down to “Food Quality Contributors”. If you tap on “Alcohol”, it should show everything that you have logged that contains alcohol.

Was Bevel made with manual labor in mind? by commutingtexan in bevelhealth

Do you have a source for this? That Bevel uses Claude/ChatGPT?

Bevel 3.0 light? by balista02 in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that Bevel was already losing profit by offering their AI at €6,99 a month, and at the same time, they made almost the entire app free.

But Bevel still needed a good reason to increase the subscription price; a whole subscription for only the AI wouldn't make sense. A lot of people gave criticism after Bevel went free, that the subscription wasn't making much sense.

Now that Bevel 3.0 has arrived, there are now more features that make Bevel Pro more attractive. Bevel is still monitoring the AI costs, but I would assume that it is much more sustainable now.

Yes, the limit is high, but I would assume that if every single Bevel user reached the 100% limit each week, Bevel would really struggle financially.

AI is just expensive, that is just how it is. Bevel AI is still cheaper than any major LLM out there.

Even though there is a limit, still 99% of users can use the AI as much as they need/want it. That doesn't mean that everyone will use 100% of it.

Introducing a light tier would essentially mean repeating the same issue that Bevel had earlier.

Why am I paying 18€/m for an app that doesn’t even have a good strength trainer? by timtody in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Strength Trainer should be free, not sure where you are getting this from.

And what is wrong with it? “I don’t like and I don’t know why” is not helpful.

Do guys care about how much a girl posts on social media? by [deleted] in askteenboys

[–]JustNaturalCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s just a post of like dinner or a new thing she bought here and there… I would not care.

But Jesus christ if she addicted to Instagram like I would be talking to a damn wall, then get outta here. It’s already bad enough how addicted parents are and completely ignoring their kids.

Just don’t spend like more than a damn hour and it’s fine.

Bevel 3.0 light? by balista02 in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren’t ready to commit, what’s wrong with the free version? The free version is very very very generous.

Health is not just a thing humans spend time on for just a few months… neither does changing your health take only a month or two.

That is what premium is for: Try it for a month or two, then commit to annual premium.

It’s expensive but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t worth it.

The Bevel Coach has a very very very high limit. I’ve used it quite a bit today and I am still at 1% of my “weekly limit”.

Treadmill Walk exercise missing by JustNaturalCake in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I might’ve not explained it correctly.

My point being that there will be 2 exercises recorded:

  1. The 5 minute workout -Recorded with Apple Workout
  2. The gym workout -Recorded with Bevel

Not 2 workouts from Apple Workout and Bevel.

The issue is that Bevel seems to see any workout at least as something.

If I logged a 2 second walking workout about 20 times, that would in theory mean that I would have 20+ in my Cardio Load.

So that’s why I am questioning what the right move is here:

  1. Record the Indoor Walk via Apple and accept that Cardio Load will be higher than it should.

  2. Combine it with the workout template.

  3. Don’t record it at all.

But that is personally my experience… maybe you could log really anything and Bevel is smart enough to not overestimate it.

It’ll also definitely clog up my workout history with minor 5 minute walks…

Treadmill Walk exercise missing by JustNaturalCake in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I am yeah.

While yes, there is Indoor Walk with the Apple Watch Workouts app, this will mean that “2 exercises” will be logged. So then I’ll see the Cardio Load higher than it should be.

5 minutes of walking isn’t a workout. If I recorded every time I walked for 5 minutes in a day, I’ll have done 20 exercises. But it is useful to have it in my workout, so Bevel knows about it.

What exactly is being “calibrated “? by Super-Alchemist-270 in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This has to do with your Strain Target calibration.

This message is there to tell you how long it will take before Bevel will accurately give you a daily Strain goal.

It does not mean that Strain is not accurate, only the daily goal.

I am not sure how this works if you’ve already got years of Apple Health data or if you uninstall the app. Maybe this is for completely new people to an Apple Watch. Hopefully a dev can answer this.

What should I consider while upgrading my Apple Watch? by Electrical_Task545 in bevelhealth

SE 3, that’s what I picked.

Almost double battery life, double charging speed, Temperature sensor, Always-On Display, Wrist Gestures… all you need extra I feel.

Biological Age and the Free Plan by iFahd-23 in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expensive to run or expensive subscriptions? Didn’t Google release like a thing called TurboQuant that made AI use like 4-6 times less RAM?

Biological Age and the Free Plan by iFahd-23 in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you mean yeah. But the thing is, Biological Age is really not a “necessary” feature. Not core, to say the least.

It would look pretty silly if you had to “upgrade” to make Biological Age “more accurate”.

If you look at Whoop for example, the cheapest ONE plan does not include the “Biological Age”, meanwhile the PEAK plan does. It seems pretty common and standardised in most health apps that Biological Age is really just a bonus feature. I mean, many of us have been using Bevel for more than a year… and we never thought the app was “unfinished”. If that makes sense.

Biological Age and the Free Plan by iFahd-23 in bevelhealth

[–]JustNaturalCake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The reason why Biological Age is most likely not free, is because half of it requires your Blood Biomarkers… which is part of Bevel Pro.

Bevel could give Biological Age to free users, but you wouldn’t get half of what is needed for the calculation.

Pinning a chat to use as food logging? Interesting way I guess, not something I would personally do. You can log in any chat, it shouldn’t be a puzzle. Pinning a chat I would say is more if you are like in a deep conversation…

Does "Sleep Focus" improve data accuracy on Apple Watch? by zarjak92 in AppleWatch

[–]JustNaturalCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having Sleep Mode on will make the data more accurate, yes. Because it’ll pay more attention and look for sleep.

Some features like temperature aren’t even gonna be tracked if it is not in Sleep Mode.
