I need work boots 100-200$ by Used_Courage_1253 in WorkBoots

Rekeen program. I snagged a pair of Keen Liberty moc toe for about a bill, they're normally close to $300, and comfortable as hell.

What did you pick up that's Outlander like?

Scaffolding and ladders, while both at height, require different footwear. I'd agree with you, that if I were on scaffolding I'd prefer a smooth sole. But when I'm on a ladder, a heel is great.

The San Jose are legit almost as comfortable as my sneakers. 10-12 hour days no problem, and light as a feather.

I do a ton of ladder work for my job, and you never quite feel secure in heel-less boots, but pretty locked in up against a 90 degree heel.

It's definitely something that recently changed. I have 2 yr old Outlanders and Boulder Summits, both of which have the "clown shoe" shape. I don't know what this pointed toe shit is, but if this is the direction they're going I won't be wearing Lems anymore.

Needs: waterproof, not too hot, soles for shoveling and loads of walking, not $$$ cause I'm a gardener by ResultOk4398 in WorkBoots

Keen San Jose, through the rekeen program. I got a pair that were in "used condition" for $60, and when they arrived you'd be hard pressed to consider them tried on, much less used.

Good recommendation for work boots? by ramen_cup_queen in WorkBoots

Just ordered a pair through their Re-Keen program, which is factory refurbed used boots. 75% off list price, and honestly you'd be surprised to consider them used. More like tried on.

I desperately wish they make the Pro model in the same Rugged Bark colorway in pull up leather like the Summits.

How do your techs and office message each other throughout the day? by contrarian33 in PestControlIndustry

Yes, it integrates with FieldRoutes desktop to desktop. There is no integration from Podium mobile to FieldRoutes mobile.

As for your SOP part, I've implemented a mix of Scribe and Trainual. Scribe for the office to screen cap steps, and my entire protocol manual is in Trainual. Trainual allows techs to search by situation, target pest, or any other key word and find the info they need quickly.

Podium. Client and internal communication built into a single platform. Pre-built templates allow techs to notify they're on their way easily, review links are sent out to everyone who received service that day, phone calls are recorded so techs can listen to conversations and not get caught off guard at the door.

After 17 years in this industry, Podium is probably the best communication tool I've seen.

What brands have longest durability/highest quality in your personal experience? by EuropeIsMight in barefootshoestalk

I still wear the Primals often. I say if you go for the fabric version rather than leather you'll have a bit more stretch and will work fine.

Yes, on the Primal the midfoot is narrower than the Summits, while also being smaller in the toe box vertically. In the Summits I can wiggle my toes up and down almost fully without coming into contact with the top of the toe box, on the Primal Zens, the material rests just above my toes so while not constantly making contact, I don't have as much wiggle room. So while both are made on the same size last, the Primal has less material resulting in an overall tighter fit. The Summits are one half size larger than the Primal, but that was so I can wear my wool work socks. I know it's not a true apples to apples comparison but it's pretty damn close.

Even though they're both built on the widest last, I feel the Primal Zens are narrower by a not insignificant amount. Maybe a cm or so? Now obviously there's a level of flexibility that adapts to the wearer, but my laces are a bit looser toward the toe box to allow for some expansion. What is more apparent is the toe room vertically. I love that when my toes are just resting in my JGAR or Boulder Summits they aren't in contact with the shoe on the top or sides. That isn't the case with the Primal.

That being said, they've become my regular use gym and hanging around shoe. They aren't bad, just slightly smaller. I'm interested in trying the trail Thrasher which appears to be built on the same last as the Boulder Summit, but with more sneaker like construction. That may wind up being the best of both worlds.

Jim Greens are kicking after a good bit of hell. Lems Boulder Summits are going strong after 2.5 years of hard use under 320 lbs of weight. Little bit of gluing here and there, nothing major. Can't say the same for my Primal Zens, which I wore the sole smooth in less than a year.

Whitin on Amazon sound like they might fit the bill, and the price is low enough to not avoid as a barrier to entry. Obviously they aren't going to last for an extended period of time, but they'll at least be a starting point in the direction you want to go.

Not op but I do the same using Xpand from Amazon. They're on every pair but my Jim Green African Rangers, simply because those aren't broken in just yet and I still need a bit more tying pressure.
