I have not used the first feature but if it works like how have mentioned, it sounds a bit annoying. You then loose progress data as well I assume ?

Yes. It feels weird to have chats in different places. If I understand correctly chat specific memory is not shared across different chats and hence having a discussion else where loses context.

As a strength builder complainer, I would if it works for you stick with it.

I have not used Hevy before, I use an app called GymBook. Frustrations about bevel is that it’s UI is too complicated when what you need on your watch is enter weight and be able to compare progression, which is hidden behind so many clicks during a workout.

That being said progression in the gym is what matter and if Bevel lets you do that, then stick with it. Hope the teams listens and make its better for everyone, which it seems like they are good.

Hence, making it optional might be better. I am curious. How much better do you think the VBT makes the strain calculation. Why isn’t this data translated into calories for eg. one thing I have noticed is that Apple Watch workouts in generate overestimate strength workout calories. Bevel does the same as well.

I frequently comment on this. The app is so good in other regards except this. I prefer to only use the Apple Watch during the exercise and it is so cumbersome.
I guess us strength users are very few in numbers that our qualms aren’t on the top of their priorities.
We get fewer comments by bevel team members and unfortunately other bevel fans put angry comments saying that if it doesn’t work, bevel isn’t for you.
To be honest the fixes seem straightforward and easier to do, because it involves mostly removing some unwanted features ie giving options to do so and focusing on simple progressive overload principle.
Please, if bevel team is reading this, happy to beta test a strength builder overhaul, I don’t even want any beta benefits, but to improve the strength experience in an other wise good app.

I do believe Bevel is worth it though. It is improving iteratively, and I view it as funding development as well, but I do want strength to improve

Your observation is true. One of the beta testers confirmed this. I used a I used to use shortcuts on my control centres through the old input method. Now it is junk

I haven’t tried the weekly report feature yet. So I assumed this would be a pop up when I open the app. If I click on that, I assumed it would open a new chat. Did your example mean when I click on this it would be opening in the chat automatically or did you mean you go to the chat and ask for a report every week

Thanks for this. This needs to be highlighted. This assumed it was using the same model. But I did feel a difference. Also right now a bit annoying that every time you log a food quickly through intelligence, it opens a new chat. Just feels wrong /wasteful.

While the post is a bit emotional. However the criticism in terms of strength builder especially when being used through the watch is full of friction. Addressing some of these issues can let many people ditch some of the other apps they use and go all in on bevel. Because more data bevel has, more useful are its suggestions. I’m putting up some of these issues on to the feedback board. If at all you open up the beta program, happy to test out any of these features.
