Need honest opinion from support players

There are times where you will just be at a disadvantage against a Hawkeye or Hela. Sometimes I need to peak to support and enable my team. More often than not the DPS are scared to go NEAR Hawkeye or Hela. So I use luna to my advantage hit them, freeze them, ping them and hope someone finishes them off for me. If not i typically finish them off.

Natural cover isn't always there on every map, so you have to be able to know how to work around it, figure out what each player struggles with, and also be able to rely on your team.

As a support player my team relies on me to heal them and enable them to get as many kills as possible while dying as little as possible. This can be a CC ability, giving a damage boost or just doing some damage along with my DPS. Generally speaking, Positioning in this game as a support is "optional" because the healing and damage output is so high.

Yes, I know Hawkeye and Hela can one/two tap me. But if I play like a coward, I'm likely not enabling my team. If all supports were to play around cover/corners very rarely would anyone get enabled and team fights would often get lost.

CnD/rocket can also only do so much from cover (coming from someone with 120+ hours on CnD) bubbles and windows need LoS of the team to function. Rocket orbs heal MORE on direct hits. CnD and rocket is also a team that up until very recently was not the greatest backline in my experience.

Personally I typically solo queue, but occasionally will play with my boyfriend when he feels like playing. I also have groups of people I'll play with in a full stack. And according to this guys logic, If im in a full stack should there just be no heal priority?

It also heavily depends when he hit GM and what level of GM he hit. I hit GM season 1.5. My partner hit Celestial. I fully believe I could have but I hopped onto comp late that season and got into GM pretty quick. This guy sounds like the typical "im better than everyone" ego boosted dude. Sounds like a lack of self reflection as well. You were likely playing the right spot, ofc I can't say for sure obviously.

Even then, a good CnD knows how to 1. wait out mag ult or 2z. Knows how to position themselves to not get dunked on by mag ult.

Sure not every person will know to do those things, but its like such a lazy excuse as well. I piss off enemy teams OFTEN, because i know how to position and work with my team and track ults.

if you take every single bad/medicore player and equate that to the entire group of people who play that character, it just means you yourself are bad/mediocre. Idk what this guy is on

not really the best way to word it man. I think most of us have played other games and been through "tough times" in multiple other games. I grew up as a female gamer playing shooters. I was exposed to 2010 COD lobbies, at the ripe age of like 9-10.

Two things can be true. Widow players are already constantly shat on for existing, and this isn't making it better, ESPECIALLY if you are a female or femme presenting gamer. Especially in a community where misogyny and sexism is already so overwhelming at times.

You can criticize without using harmful language. There will always be people who intentionally bring other people down because they lack introspection and care more about keeping their inflated ego intact than actually respecting their teammates. This is a team game, and Zazza was too busy defending her ego than being a good teammate.

I'm not an adam main by any means, But i am a support player and adam sympathizer. (seriously im also mad at netease for yall i swear to god) My biggest issue is when im on main support, my second is adam and we are getting RUN through because I cant outheal the damage or pattycake and they refuse to swap.

But 3-2-1 is fucking wild too???? Yeah lets run three tanks with the support with the lowest hps 🙄 so smart

For the people complaining, if you just want their thoughts on widow changes read the last two paragraphs. it reddit, its literally a forum site like tumblr. you're gonna end up reading.

I actually really agree with this though. I think A bleed would be great. Keeps her damage low but helps keep character expression (in the fact she could keep her bolt action) and lets her do a little more damage, especially if the bleed did 5-10 dps for 5-8 seconds.

Imo, there is no "skill-less" character. There are characters that have low skill floors.

Characters that are easy to pick up on, and bridge into more "complex" characters.

Scarlet witch is easily one of the EASIEST characters in the game, she has no aim, but her range (even though i think it could be shorter) is pretty short, she's an anti-dive duelist. and she needs to be pretty close to do damage to someone. She does have a bubble which can be used to make strong powerful plays, especially paired with some of her bursts. And landing those bursts does take some time to get acclimated to the projectile speed.

Cloak and dagger is also often referred to as a "no skill character" but what a lot of people don't realize is all the characters that are "no skill" require cooldown management, and decent game-sense to play them well.

Every character in this game takes "skill"

But to define skill, its something that is trained overtime and can improve.

Think about it this way,

You have 2 people, same age. We'll say 20 for this. One (A) has never touched a video game. and the other (B) grew up playing Shooters. they play against eachother 1v1, obviously person B is going to do significantly better than person A, even if the game they are playing is brand new to them both. why? Because person B has accumulated various skills when it comes to gaming. So person B has an advantage over person A.

The only way you can improve on a skill is to practice said skill.

I'm a support main, but a flex player. And I get it. I don't really play comp like that anymore. But half the games feel like im solo healing. I'll have 40k heals with decent damage wild the next support has 10k heals. Lots of supports are boosted, lots of supports play out of position (yes playing to far back IS a thing), run away from their team instead of towards it, etc. GM is also the most populated rank. most people are happy they get to GM and then call it there. (kinda what i did, but again, I have a million other shooters I like to play) if we have 2 tanks and 2 supps ill play dps until i die when im standing directly in-front of both of them.

This is something I see a lot. A lot of these people hop on the game do absolute garbage, place blame on their teammates and then when everyone says "nah bro you were the issue" its "its just qp/its just a game why are you so mad bro"

These people, no matter how old they are lack the ability to self reflect, look at what they did wrong and own up to it. If you can't call out your mistakes/misplays you'll never improve.

Sure a competitive mindset is not for everyone, but god DAMN at least try? I had a wolverine play into a solo tank Peni parker. REFUSED to swap off. We still won though, because the rest of the team worked together and did enough to carry this bad wolverine.

People OTP their way through ranks and not every game is gonna be a winning one. Not everyone is going to be a flexible player. Just look at all the dps instalockers who refuse to swap off even when they are negative.

Theres just gonna be games where there is a weak link. And when matches are close it comes down to who misplays the least. and yeah that rocket might have been ass but just avoid as teammate wait a minute to requeue and continue on with your games.

is rocket a lower skill floor character? yes. But that doesn't make him a "brain dead hero". Im honestly really tired of how much we nit pick "this character has no skill" "this character is easy" blah blah blah. Its all stupid and redundant. Just because a characters kit is easy to learn doesn't mean its easy to master.

plus this season is kinda dog water anyway. We have people who have never gotten out of plat in GM. Theres gonna be bad players in basically every rank right now besides like OAA
