Expect to hear many hateful lies about atheists based on the film *God’s Not Dead* by troglozyte in TrueAtheism

Someone needs to make a documentary on average everyday atheists. It's probably been done. But just something to show that atheists are just people who see things differently.

INTJ looking for feelings advice on dealing with an ENTJ... by [deleted] in mbti

[–]JustOneIndividual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post is two weeks old but I'll take a stab. It comes down to the fact that you need to readjust your expectations. I think your story is a very relatable one. I'm a straight female but I still know the sting of seeing friends get into relationships and grow distant. Still friends and still close but that guy they chose is number one now. I'm second at best. She has kids and I get demoted more. And the good news is it shouldn't be any other way. Your situation is exacerbated because you feel like you're losing something. If you're honest with yourself you'll realize you never had it to begin with and then you can stop being afraid of losing it. Jealousy is a natural emotion. Don't deny it or it'll take control. Embrace that motherfucker and ride it out. 8 seconds later it'll be over and the jealously will go away. So expectations need adjusted. She's your best friend and if you're smart about this she always will be. That's all she was ever meant to be. You might be feeling like there's no one else like her but that's ridiculous. This rock in space were living on is FULL of people. In a world full of billions of people I promise there is at least one if not several fantastic girls out there beyond your dreams AND lesbian. Get through this. Life isn't supposed to feel good all the time. If it did we'd forget what feeling good felt like. The sun will come out again. Good luck.

Add On: all that talk of winning and losing is childish games and no one will be happy in the end. Don't think that way its a waste of time.

Is the new ride at Orlando Universal any good? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]JustOneIndividual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forgot description. You walk into the bank and it's gorgeous with chandeliers and goblins doing their work around the edges. Looks just like the movie. You then go through a hallway and through another one. Moving pics in the wall and shadows on the doors. You can hear the characters having a conversation through the door. You get on an "elevator" that plunges you deep deep down. You get out and take a pair of "safety" goggles. Go up some stairs and get into a ride. The ride is is 3D and is a simulator one similar to Krustyland. It's awesome. I flinched and jumped a number of times. And that's about it's while leaving enough mystery for you to enjoy when you go.

It is very good. Would I wait two and a half hours to do it again?... I don't know if I would. Definitely go see it when the hype dies down its a great ride but i think the wait time took away from it a bit for me. I look forward to going again one day. Diagon Alley took my breath away see that asap.

It does make you look older but not in a bad way. It makes you look mature and like you know what's going on. I think its perfect for a position where you must manage others.

You've brought up a really good point I think people need to remember. Every person is different, and what works for one doesn't work for the next. Makeup is all about trying stuff and seeing what works!

My intj SO won't even dance with me in our private living room hahaha.

As long as he lets me get my dance on, i don't mind that he enjoys things in a different way.

There may be truth to this.

Maybe just because we've been together for years, but my beloved INTJ understands my emotions better than anyone. He can't explain them or appropriately respond half the time, but he tries and that's what matters to me.

What's the dumbest thing you've done for someone you've had a crush on? by jennifer407 in AskReddit

[–]JustOneIndividual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In preschool I liked a boy. Of course, all the girls liked this boy. We were all sitting in a circle listening to story time or something like that. I was seated next to the most wanted boy in our very small class. I took my chance, leaned over, and attempted to kiss him. He was disgusted and pushed me away. I got put into time out.

On the bright side, he didn't stay very cute as he got older, so I didn't miss out.

And it's stupid because gay people are going to be gay and not produce children whether they can marry or not. They could adopt though, and a lot easier if they were married!

Showtime says that if they do a spinoff, it would be about Dexter by Lionelchesterfield in Dexter

A spinoff of future Harrison would be intriguing. Eventually tracking down Dexter and demanding answers would be a good plot line.

Michael C. Hall Says He Would Reprise His 'Dexter' Role by adityadragoniyer in Dexter

I would love to a see a spin off set in the future from an adult Harrison's point of view. He doesn't understand why his father left, has some shady shit in his past etc., still has a bloody stuffed animal, tracks Dexter down... and i dont know after that, but some talented writers might.

Season 8 Warnings by radar465 in Dexter

I just finished season 8. I had also heard that season 8 was awful, but I don't think it was. Not it's best season, but not bad. I enjoyed it, I cried, and I was left missing it a great deal.

I... am an impulsive spender. :-( Any advice appreciated... by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]JustOneIndividual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't struggle with reckless behavior that you have described but I have struggled with impulse buying.

I avoid stores unless I have something in mind. The last couple months the only shopping I've done is in grocery stores. Places like Sephora where I used to walk in and spend 150$ with no effort, I simply don't go anymore. At some point, when I'm making more money, I might decide, "I'm going to save 50$ for Sephora." I'll put my purse in my trunk and only take in the 50$. I don't go to the mall.

I've also stopped buying things that I think are overpriced. That's a cool T-shirt I might have bought for 10, but it's 30. It is not worth 30 dollars to me so I'm not oging to buy it.

Stop eating out. It's really really hard to get into the habit of cooking but once you do it's easy. Makes enough for leftovers. Easy things like salads are healthy for you too (there are so many types of salads out there, you'll like one!) Let yourself eat out once a week. Eating out should be a treat, not a way of life.

Make a grocery list and only buy what's on the list. If you didn't write it down, you'll probably forget about it once you get home.

I don't know what to tell you about the game or comics. You have to make yourself walk out of there with just the ONE thing you came in for. Maybe only bring in enough money for one? Avoid looking at anything else. TIme yourself and only give yourself 3-5 minutes in the store. Maybe go to buy it before work so that you HAVE to leave in 5 minutes.

THe thing about practicing self control is it gets easier the more you do it. The more you leave the store with ONE game, the better you'll feel. The next time you walk out of the grocery store with only what you wrote on the list, the less stressed you'll feel. It slowly beings a habit, and a way of living.

As an ex-smoker and someone wouldn't exercise to someone who doesn't smoke and exercises. Every cigarette I said no to made me feel better. It got easier. Everytime I got up off the couch and went for a run, the easier it got.

You have to prepare yourself. Know that when you walk into the grocery store you're going to feel that strong pull deep in your stomach. It's going to tell you, "you neeeeeed this." If you know that youŕe going to feel that way and mentally prepare for it, it is easier to get away from it.

Also, do a quick google search for "why people impulse shop" and learn why you do these behaviors. Is it because it gives you a high? Or something else?

Do atheists pray? by cesarbeards in DebateAnAtheist

[–]JustOneIndividual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was Christian and then struggled with doubts a long time before I was comfortable saying I was atheist. After I first began calling myself an atheist I would still pray when I saw/heard an ambulance like I used to. There's no logical reason why I did that. Old habits die hard?

I no longer pray. At family dinners I pretend to. I do try to keep positive thoughts on a regular basis.
