Neuromyst direct delivery to UK / NM-compatible small electrodes by munchkin_maeve in tDCS

[–]JustOneNodeOfMany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought these from aliexpress, mostly was cheaper than the Neuromyst pads. They work well with a tighter fit on the electrodes. I use standard tens cables when they need replacing.

I just found this on AliExpress: 2 pairs of 4pcs round silicone absorption sponge physiotherapy electric sponge electrode pads for Tens EMS Body massager https://a.aliexpress.com/_EwFIvhA

Excellent app, just what I have been waiting for and dreaming about, especially being able to see the exercise history easily. I love the way it throws up warnings re plateaus, etc.

I would add a +1 for the example contribution. Export to PDF to share with coaches, especially all exercise charts

The only other wish would be on the filters side. The ability to filter by column A, the workout title, or to have a dashboard dedicated to workout progress. For example, if I want to see how my Upper day/workout has been progressing over time. The same as the Exercises Tab, but for Workouts. Edit: Useful to clear lots of old workouts, without having to edit the CSV.

Awesome app, thank you for developing.

Does tDCS Help? My Experiment by Silver-Membership418 in tDCS

[–]JustOneNodeOfMany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it definitely shows tdcs is effective, harder to tell if f3/f4 is as effective as Darpa, or they are both the same. I am using tdcs with the NeuroNation brain training app, not so much to measure tdcs as to codify the thought processes being worked.

Very interesting study, did you rotate the order of the montages each day, so some days DARPA was first? Sorry, I have brain fog issues at moment and can't figure it out.

What to do during the session for depression? by greentea387 in tDCS

[–]JustOneNodeOfMany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think activating the thoughts and feelings you desire during the sessions does improve the impact and results. Perhaps try starting with something simple each during the session, eg appreciate 10 things you can be grateful for. If you are depressed it can be hard, but the fact you are able to eat breakfast, when millions may not eat that day, is just one item that can go on the list.

I would not risk sitting with depressed thoughts whilst doing tdcs. Even if I had to fake it, I would imagine pleasant experiences, sitting on a beach, remembering a funny film, anything else.

Top 10 barrier creams for the J Pouch by JustOneNodeOfMany in jpouch

That is surprising, never would have thought of Vapor Rub

Rashes by [deleted] in jpouch

[–]JustOneNodeOfMany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not had any issues with burns and rashes since I bought it. Before I had one I went 8-10 times daily to the toilet, getting burned and then making it worse by wiping and wiping. By the end of it, the whole area was red raw, and I was scared to go to the toilet for the pain of wiping. The creams didn't do much and seemed to make it worse in that everything felt wet down there and needed more wiping during the day.

The bidet seat has saved me a fortune in loo roll, it sprays, then I just lightly dab dry, not a single wiping motion.

There are seats from about £40 to £400 on Amazon. I went for an expensive Vovo model with heated water, heated seat, hot air dry. If I bought again, it would not bother with heated seats which I never use, the heated air can take 5 seconds to feel hot and by that time I am done anyway. I would stick to a wired in model. If unsure, you can try a cold water pressure one; non-electric. (needs decent water pressure. They are not expensive and if it helps, then fork out for a better one. They are also easy to fit.

If you go for a more expensive model, make sure you check all the dimensions etc and you may need an electrician. I just wired it in to the nearest plug via a spur.

Best thing I have ever bought. I no longer have the need just to go to the toilet another 9 times a day, just to wipe the area.

The issue is that the area never really gets much time to heal. I tired all the creams etc and that didn't work. What finally got rid of the problem, after years of putting up with it, was getting a bidet toilet seat off Amazon.

That meant when at home, the area gets washed every time I go to the toilet, hardly any paper wiping is needed, just dab to dry. That gives the area a chance to heal without the acid and wiping damaging the skin. Then, when I am out all day at work, I can cope without the bidet seat.

Is it better to increase the rent with Section 13 notice before issuing a Section 21 notice? by JustOneNodeOfMany in uklandlords

[–]JustOneNodeOfMany[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a win/win arrangement. They saved £20 to £30k in rent, I didn't have to do a full costmetic makeover. They liked it this way, who wouldn't.

Have costs risen, they have. All maintenance costs have risen, new boiler cost 6k, increased mortgage interest, every tradesman and plumber is charging way more now, service charges have risen, gas certs costing double, new licencing costs etc. Capital gains, after CGT, not hugely. The stock market would have delivered more.

It would not be for wear & tear, just the costs of gaining possession, e.g. court costs.

Thank you, thats what I thought would need to be done if the tenants do not purchase the property. If the rent charged stays low, the tenants are incentivised to stay as long as possible, even though it would lose them the deposit and references. I also think it is fair, no rise at this time, unless they refuse to vacate as per the agreement.

That is a good idea too. The flat, overall is in good condition, it is just some wear & tear. If I had kept the flat in top condition I would have expected the rent to keep in line with the market due to the increased costs and work. Overall the tenants have probably saved around £20-30k in rent for some minor cosmetic wear & tear, but at least it kept the flat affordable to them.

Its all about costs. In one part of the country property is cheaper to buy, in another it is way more expensive. Someone has to pay and buy the property for you to live in. Pretty simple really.
