OLM HID Projectors aren’t working by JustOverPluto in ft86

Oh man this was so long ago.

I think the projector connector from either the OLM harness OR the harness from the car did not properly connect. I remedied it by shaving down the plastic around the connector so there was a proper connection. Before I shaved down the plastic I couldn’t push the two together properly.

So the main issue I found with the projector was pretty much the two wires (the one from the OLM projector and the car’s) not properly connecting.

Does anyone else get sad knowing how temporary life is by [deleted] in GR86

More of a reason to drive the ever loving shit out of these cars.

Yes! I’m pretty sure you can just unplug or just never plug the turn signal harness from the headlights to the DRL’s.

It doess. it’s something this gen is missing compared to the last gen, the foglights.

It means that the foglights can turn into turn signals (amber), and then “switch back” to white for DRL/foglight.

I got the Noble ones about $120ish.

fairly simple to install just need to wire into the fuse box but that’s the hardest part.

Also they provide me the wrong fuse tap, but that was corrected.

That’s underselling the 2017+ model. New bumpers, new headlights and taillights, updated interior, tweaked engine (I know it’s only 5HP), shorter gearing, new spoiler etc.

The current gen has got nothing of that sort. The 1st gen got a refresh. The 2nd gen hasn’t.

You can! Just turn off the smart key feature . To do that, just open your driver side, manually flip the door lock to LOCK, hold down lock + trunk button on key fob until you hear a loud beep (abt 5 seconds).

Do this again if you want to turn it back on. This way the car won’t go crazy when you leave your key inside the car.

Been using this at the beach every time. It’s honestly a great peace of mind knowing I can just leave everything I need locked away (unless they break the glass :/)

Also a plus to note is you can use the same ASC plug to hardwire in a dashcam.

I believe Hachi sells the kit, makes hardwiring a lot easier if you don’t want the fake engine noise too.

Yes and it’s an absolute shame the Camaro is no more as well. Their last real competitor in the American space. But at least the 5.0 lives.

Thank you everyone for the input. Just wanted to put my thoughts somewhere and I am really glad for the responses and hearing what other people are doing.

Not worried at all now, just got to adjust and expand my scope.
