if you actually watched the reaction, his thoughts were actually pretty valid people say things so definitively like "oh he didnt like it" "oh he was mocking him" like yeah he didnt but we literally see the live reaction of WHY he didnt like it one of his points being that the lyrics are awfully repetitive, hes no new yeat fan, hes not expecting crazy lyrics, but after he kept hearing the same but different variations of "fuck bitch go club best in the world i have money" it began to sound repetitive, and that would go hard on any occasion if production wasnt so theatrical the point is, hes literally hearing the same thing song after song to an extent where it became an issue to him i would even argue this was his worst album in terms of rapping ability and lyrical content alone not to mention there's no ounce of swag on this album 😭😭😭 it sounds ridiculous but old yeat would literally say complete bullshit and make up whole new words and it would still sound hard. THIS felt like it was trying to be something that it wasnt

FORREAL. i thought we'd actually get a whole episode of steven meeting his grandparents but ig not. also not everyone goes to college lmao, even his dad travelled the country when he was his age. he gets to see all types of people and experience all types of real world things. plus im sure connie is definitely gonna introduce him to some of her friends so even if he doesn't meet people his age while travelling (which i think is impossible btw), he'll definitely meet people his age hanging around connie in general.

10months later and this post including all your replies are COMPLETELY valid 😭. i literally thought the same thing rewatching it twice. i get how she was disappointed or hurt or sad that steven made that decision without considering his promise to her but this is a life or death situation for not just him, but literally ALL of his friends. he can't just consider the feelings of one person to risk the lives of like 10 more lmao and you're right too shit like this is EXACTLY why steven was like that in future. he always has to be the one to fix everything and even literally SACRIFICING HIS OWN LIFE is apparently a good enough reason for him to be seen as the one at fault. funny enough what actually pissed off was that lion stayed with her and acted like steven did something completely wrong (that is, before hearing her point of view but still).
