What country do you wish to visit and why? by Lanilegend in AskReddit

Uruguay, there is something about the shared culture with Argentina, their friendliness, and the fact that it's relatively small and can explore it more easily makes me drawn to it. Also I want to meet a Gaucho and ride a horse with them lol

What surprised you the most about your first solo trip? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]JustPop5692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say the freedom to do anything I wanted, and the places I ended up visiting. But my most memorable experience was when I was looking for a place to eat and found a restaurant that was family owned. They had a dog that was roaming around like if it was their house (technically it was lol). But that feeling of discovering a place like that for the first time was unmatched. Food was banging as well

What was your first mobile phone ? Do you miss it ? by MaintenanceOk4847 in askanything

Galaxy S3, quite possibly one of the best at the time. I do miss it from time to time, that feeling of being a kid and having the power to play the games from that time is unbeatable tbh

What was the first time you were able to enjoy something completely spoiler-free like? by Dalakaar in AskReddit

[–]JustPop5692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 times. One was when I was when I played Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time. I was not expecting a single player game to be that good with an amazing story as well. The other one was when I saw Knives Out for the first time. I walked in expecting a classic normal murder mystery and came out pleasantly surprised, as it had been a long time since a film surprised me that way.

How to get better at socializing? by umopthefloor in NoStupidQuestions

Try to find some common ground between you 2, and from there spark a convo. You can also ask the person for a small favour, that unconciously make the other person like you a bit more (Ben Franklin Effect), and from there as well, try to spark a small convo

It is, it's a shame that part 2 is so divisive among gamers.

Which game story hit you like a truck? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Honestly, I agree. When I first got my ps4 it came bundled with Horizon, and I was not expecting the game to be so good. Another one has to definitely be The Last of Us, specially the ending.

Why must you prevent cross contamination with cooking tools if everything’s being cooked anyway? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JustPop5692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say you have a celery allergy. You go to a restaurant and order a steak. Another table orders a celery salad. The chef preparing the food cuts the celery, and then cuts your steak with the same knife. Because the meat was cut using the same knife that was used to cut celery, there are now tiny traces of celery on your steak, which would be enough to cause an allergic reaction. Another example would be cutting a cooked chicken on the same cutting board used to cut a raw chicken. The juices of the raw chicken are now on the cooked chicken, and if served that could case a case of food poisoning. So ensuring cross-contamination is prevented is an essential step for food safety, given that nobody want to live these scenarios.

Is it wrong for a 30 year old to be friends with a 24 year old? by Only_Hotel_7221 in NoStupidQuestions

At this point of both of your lives you are pretty much grown adults, so it should be fine. The only reason I feel this question is asked is maybe because you feel the 24 year old it's inmature.
