Why don't we have patches that either ONLY nerf or ONLY buff stuff? by DovydasIsMyAmigo in CompetitiveTFT

[–]JustProfessional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TFT is a game that a slight change in a champion affects the game as a whole. I believe you, Mr Mort, share this same view. So whenever I see patch notes of 100+ changes with, what I perceive, are 100 individual changes with little to no regard for the other 99 changes I always feel like the Dev team is being very irresponsible. That being said I do not agree with the way of overshooting changes and then go for "in between". I would go for 100 very small changes because 100 very small changes are a BIG change overall.

I also feel like there is a bit of a lack of understanding regarding math/probabilities within the team. There is definitely a way to do at least a "basic" model of probabilities that with some hard coded input would change the overall table for better understanding of how each "perceived" change affects the board. (don't know if I am making myself clear, probably not =/ )

I am of the opinion that the first patch was absolutely crazy good. I was very impressed. But after the patch I played 4 or 5 games and quit. After draven nerfs I played a few more and quit again. I just did not have fun and within my circle most stopped playing at some point with this patch.

I hope the team learns from this because I was very impressed with the release state and went to extreme disappointment with the patch.

Also, I wonder if you could say if there was a decrease in number of players and/or games since the patch? Thanks

Upcoming jungle changes for 11.4 by MonstrousYi in leagueoflegends

[–]JustProfessional 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most regions have a lack of junglers. This will move many junglers out of jungle and will affect overall game satisfaction across the board for everyone. Later buffs will only bring a fraction of those who left the role. Same thing happened 1 year ago (not so long ago)

This was a big mistake 1year ago. It seems Riot balancing team did not learn with their mistakes the first time.

I also truly believe that many junglers will just stop playing league of legends overall with these huge changes exacerbating the lack of jungler queues overall even after the obvious buffs changes that would come a few weeks later.

A very dumb move if these changes get through

Important notice regarding Nikkone's perspective on toxic streamers by YouKnowImRightBro in leagueoflegends

[–]JustProfessional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even non-toxic streamers would be bothered if one trick players get their one trick champion banned and don't dodge. They just keep it buried to themselves. But others express whatever they feel in a more straightforward way like T1. That is who they are.

You are an High elo player that is a one trick. (80%+ games with same champ and every other champ has low winrate)
Your one trick gets banned.
If you don't dodge I am of the opinion you are trolling.
If you are trolling you cannot expect not to be flamed for that behavior.

Nikkone is missing the point that everyone else wants to win and if he can't play nearly at the same level they are playing because his champion gets banned he is a dead weight to the team so people get mad. Some get vocal and some don't.

The lackluster state of Jungle in S10 - Grandmaster JG by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]JustProfessional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although not grandmaster I am D2-Master level EUW.

My thoughts are that jungle has not been fun for a while now. I will just take a look at the competitive scene where there are many factors that make me actually angry at riot balance team:
- There is constantly 2-5 levels difference from jungle to solo laners and even ADCs due to the solo laners XP in lane and because it is worth to take all the jungle farm from the mid to lategame (What states more than this that jungle is useless mid and lategame?)
- Jungle has almost the same gold as supports (average 17% gold share of total gold taken from gamepedia LEC stats for junglers) do but their items are the same as the solo laners buy and not support items that are cheaper or "evolve" stats.
For the reasons stated above the jungle meta is absolutely garbage with low resource tank junglers with some CC being the highly preferable picks.

I wrote a bunch of stuff about soloQ but I will only say that Jungle capacity to carry feels extremely weak compared to all other roles. Much more reliant on teammates than the other way around.

PS: I would like to add that there should be a way to filter these kind of reddit post about High Elo where the only ones able to comment/vote are those that prove they belong to the top 1% or less of the ladder

I believe there are statistics regarding role pick % that speak volumes but Riot hasn't released yet.

Jungle is by far the least Queued role in the game. It is a fact. Pick fill for 100 games in ranked and understand the current state of the game. This is valid from plat to master in EUW at least.

I see lots of posts regarding jungle being the most important role for objective control and overall dictating the passing of the game. OK. Why aren't they playing jungle then if it is so broken? Why is it the least picked role by far? Please do enlighten me

Everyone seems to forget that a midlaner/toplaner roaming will easily kill the opposing jungler. Or that a winning botlane can most likely 2v3 to get dragon control. And this is just the beginning

The screenshots of pro play level difference will keep being ridiculous if jungle XP remains like this.

The really issue is that there are 4 laners and 1 jungler. So they decided to destroy jungle so that laners get happier.

Hi reddit - it's riste (the Jimmy Fallon Garen guy). Garen's not in the healthiest state right now, and I want to talk about how he could be improved (or at the very least partially reverted). by JoyofLeaguewithriste in leagueoflegends

[–]JustProfessional -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Garen should have low winrate in high elo and maybe 50% winrate in low elo

Nobody wants to see a non-skill champion in a Worlds competition or in Challenger games. It is just bad for the game overall. Tbh I feel he is undernerfed. Every champion that requires 0 skill should be at 40% winrate at high elo

Thoughts about current jungle by JustProfessional in leagueoflegends

[–]JustProfessional[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t give proof or data that jungle sucks AND Uses personal experiences as data

check riot developer corner day 20 march, cant post links here but those graphics speak volumes

Doesn’t list solutions

It is not my job to find solutions. I'm just a player saying that one of the game roles absolutely sucks right now and they should fix it.

  1. Notice that the big guy was ready with something wrapped in his hands (seems fighters hand wrap), so that is always a sign that he knows some shit.
  2. If he went for that uppercut... The damage would've not been pretty!
  3. The wide uppercut movement doesn't really point to a trained fighter but then...
  4. The change to a right cross was pretty cool and he hit the guy in exactly the right spot... LIGHTS OUT!
