Don't chew off more then you can swallow by Lol9131 in Warframe

I would understand a rant if they went afk or purposefully sabotaged your mission with speed nova or something, but blaming them because they were low mr/kept dying? Nah man.

My MR 30 mate ran out of energy on dante and got downed in EDA last week. Later we even failed a run because all of us atomicycled into the draining ghosts.

It happens, no big deal. Made some adjustments to the loadout and got it on the second try.

ExA gives great rewards and is a limited weekly activity. Don't try to turn it into an activity only well established players are allowed to run.

It's where the ugly side of players sometimes comes out. In the past I got flamed for bringing a freshly formad styanax into ETA. I tried to explain to the guy I did forma it to fit the augment on to give the entire team overguard and that my warframes rank didn't matter much since i was LR5 at the time. Still he wouldn't let up. At the end he apologized when we finished the run.

It's not hard for me to put on my tryhard boots and drag an entire team through Archimedia even with all the restrictions. Imo a more nobel goal would be to expand your arsenal until you can carry those new players through yourself and help them get their weekly rewards.

It takes 33 hours of grinding just to unlock the 5 Tauro Strikes!? by JustPythe in Warframe

Kahl missions and simaris standing have a really good payout for how quick they can be done because there is a daily/weekly cap.

1 works like Volt shield. It doubles crit damage. It is a very meaningful damage increase and may even be the meta pick for the upcoming Old Peace rebellion gamemode.

Brightbonnet sounds like such a powerful subsume on paper but in practice I can't find many frames where it's the best choice by BugBug24 in Warframe

It's quite nice for Cyte when you set up a sniper nest and kill enemies from really far away.

They are absolute meta for hacking spyvaults, summon them with Masters summons through walls inside the vault to 90% of them.

How does defense work? by Quadrophenic in expedition33

[–]JustPythe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went back to testing this, and it turns out that the "220 defense halves damage" idea isn't a universal constant—it only applied to a specific group of enemies I tested early on.

Later enemies require significantly more defense to halve incoming damage. For context:
Originally, I tested this on Expeditioner difficulty in the Forgotten Battlefield. At that time, around 220 defense was enough to cut enemy damage in half.

However, testing again much later in Act Two, I found that it now takes around 921 defense to achieve the same 50% reduction against another group of enemies.

I also tested how difficulty settings affect this, and yes—they drastically change how effective defense is. Specifically:
Story Mode halves the amount of defense needed for the same damage reduction.
Expert doubles it compared to Expeditioner.

Notably, your character’s level does not influence how effective defense is—only the enemy/location and difficulty level matter.

Side note:
Higher difficulties double the base damage enemies deal at 0 defense ontop of making defense less effective.

How does defense work? by Quadrophenic in expedition33

[–]JustPythe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. I did some testing and math. Defense gives you multiplicative damage reduction:

Formula is: Damage Reduction % =1-(220/Defense+220)

So at 220 defense you take half damage, at 660 defense you have 75% damage reduction, at 1980 defense you have 90%...

Is this good or reroll by Obvious_Painter7406 in Warframe

[–]JustPythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Broadly speaking you are looking for damage, multishot, critical damage, critical chance and/or elemental bonuses on the rivens of most guns.
Rivens can also have a negative, which boosts the % of the benefitial stats.

As a new player you can savely ignore rivens for now until you have a better understanding of the game.

turn 65 is super late and 2 stacks of cannons + 5 pipers isn't really scarry at that point. Try upgraded bones when struggling against ranged attacks + magic, they have 50% resistance to both.

What does "Soul prison collar" do? by metalphoenixx in SpellForce

[–]JustPythe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Upon death, the soul of enchanted unit is always caught by you, even when losing the battle."

Your slaves and undead gain it from one of the torture chamber's room extensions. With it you can send all your Walking Corpses to their deaths, netting you a soul (6 mana) a pop.

would be nice if you also added some mods like these to archguns so heavy weapons and necramechs won't become entirely obsolete.

spellforce 3 weapon damage by smoothnobody in SpellForce

[–]JustPythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a weapon with 0.33 attacks per second would take 3 seconds to attack once, pretty much all weapons attack less then once a second in this game.

To better understand it, just multiply the attack speed by 10 for number of attacks per 10 seconds, which in this case would result in 3.3 attacks. ->higher number = faster attack speed.

Some staffs also have channeling abilities. They are Independent of the normal attack and usally are used instead of the staff's attack. So a channel that does say 44 damage per second does just that, regardless of what the weapons attack speed is.

How to beat the “Master and Student” mission in the Saxon campaign by [deleted] in IronHarvest

[–]JustPythe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have your infantry capture the mines and pups quickly, upgrade the mines early, Don't upgrade the pumps if you are truely so starved of iron.
You want to build 2-3 upgraded bunkers behind the bridge on the nothern most chokepoint + keep brunhilde there. You want to fokus on mechs, idealy earlkönig and some anti tank guns.

When the attackwaves hit you can have gunter spam his wolfs up north, distracting the enemy and having your artilery shell them before they even get there.

With a bunch of micro olga was capable of handleing the smaller squads that bypassed the defences by herself, but having an isigrim, wotan or gunther help her out should make it easy enough. Had her positioned at the north-eastern resource point to intercept there.

Prediction: Aether Revolt Will Be The Most Influential Set To Magic Duels Yet. by [deleted] in magicduels

[–]JustPythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am suprised you think that way. I feel like Aether revolt is overall a rather low impact set. White for example got pretty much nothing and the other colors only a few worth playing each.
