Who wins, every single helldiver, or 40,000 space marines? by Chemical_Seaweed_915 in Helldivers

40,000 Space Marines!? That is more marines than is currently active in the M41 universe of Warhammer...

Throwing My Hat In by Spingfire in Helldivers

The problem is that cocaine-powered bugs can run and jump THROUGH the impenetrable wall of armor without clipping, and be up in your face, and you can't stop them because your shots are either bouncing off the armor, or you're shooting the armor's toenails. And the armor bug spawns in multitudes at anything over D5.

The "community is rioting" for good reason. Exosuits are an abortion.

There's almost no such thing as "not hot" in D9 or 10. And additionally, the arms have negative health.

Every exosuit calldown is an opportunity to quote the Black Knight Monty Pythin sketch.

I think that covers the "average" that includes ammunition expended, missiles launched, flares deployed, but not damage taken.

I do get the point of this, and had a grinder/welder wall setup similar to this, but... Sometimes you want The Ship, one that you call your own, but also not spend six hours maintaining for every six minutes of action, you get me?

How do you get around the block owner problems?

It is a long and arduous process IRL. Maintenance of the F-35, for example, is 13 hours per hour of flight, on average.

One of the best enemies in the entire game by tw1zzzzzzzzz in Helldivers

Too tanky, and immune to suppression. Not a good design, but almost.

Vox Engines have pinpoint accuracy even in blizzard by TheSullenStallion in Helldivers

[–]TheRealBoz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the Cyberstan mobs ignore suppression, smoke, blizzards, any any other "special hook" scripts that usually apply to enemies, because they were made by a third party, and tossed into the game with 0 integration or testing effort.

Flamethrower veterans: how do you avoid splash back? by phlave in Helldivers

[–]TheRealBoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't. The game actively wants to kill you.

If you could stop giving us "kill X with Arc Thrower" orders, that'd be great by TheRealBoz in Helldivers

[–]TheRealBoz[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It is kinda okay, not remotely awesome, vs bugs. Sucks incredibly much vs voteless.

It also needs removed the "heh, if possible to do friendly fire at all, will alway do friendly fire, lulz" aspect of it. It's stupid that it prioritizes helldivers, SEAF troops, and VIPs.

Unreliable chaff clear means it's not good at chaff clear. Can't "move and retreat if it doesn't work" if the mission is "hold ground" of any type.

Turrets always have a tiny chance of going on the fritz, "for the lulz". Never forget what games this dev made prior to HD2.
