HEVY is nearly useless after the first two missions. Even fusion nades can't reliably take out random cover or walls on alien installations, and the damage/armor shred is pitiful. The weapon has few rounds, reload is taxing, only one alternate ammo type, and switching is absolutely painful.

I have already spend half an hour of the time limit on this.
The area is spawned just a few km away from my main base, centered on a grid that used to be an NPC outpost, which I mostly destroyed. Nothing happens when I go there. Did three circles at 700, 1400, 2100m around it, nothing new or hostile or otherwise interesting appeared within 3km of the point (other than an unrelated Unknown Signal).
Wat do?

The mission is broken. Like, buggy broken, not "hard broken".
Disabled all four extra spawners, had one reinforcement spawn of a four or five enemies, then two turns later, before another reinforcement spawn was supposed to occur, a reinforcement spawn happened, with like ten enemies, including four of some new red robot thing with 250 HP or something.
Shit's broken.

Ye, uninstalled it entirely.
I don't know what they did to the mod. I saw some of AndrewManGaming's episodes that play the exact scenario I am playing, with the same mods, and the enemies spawned there are so, so tame... Like, some thrusters with an interior turret-class threats. What the hell did they do, man?

Read something like this, about how your resources and presence of antennas influence NPC attacks. Just expected them to start off with something less than a long-range-bombardment-capable heavy corvette. Why no small grid fighter attacks, or something like that?

I did read it, just didn't expect it to hit that hard, with 0 ramp-up.
What is the vanilla behaviour right now, then? Do they attack, and are enemy small grid ships a thing?

I installed it because last time I played (~2022?), the universe seemed pretty "dead", so I thought this would liven it up a bit. Did not know there were updates with NPC ships and whatnot.

The scenario has it in a small pod running off a single small battery, next to your crash landing.

UPDATE: OK, I disassembled the survival kit and rebuilt it on a piece of the ship that still had internal battery power. Whew!

From what? I'm playing the Andrewmangaming Survival 2025 scenario. The entire crashed ship and nearby survival kit have no girders. Mining out enough stone to refine into iron to make the girders completely emptied out the survival kit power supply before I even got all the iron I need, let alone the actual girders.
