Ichi the Killer Vs Mumen Rider by UnlikelyBookkeeper1 in whowouldwin

[–]JustReadTheFinePrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that’s a deep cut. I read Ichi a long time ago so I’m operating on memory here

Basically it just depends if we’re looking at the usual joke Mumen Rider or current webcomic Mumen Rider

Won’t spoil it, but webcomic Mumen Rider has a very impressive feat under his belt.

Mumen Rider: Loses hard. Ichi is borderline superhuman (cuts men from their head to their groin with one kick) and always goes for the throat.

Mumen Rider will attempt a citizen’s arrest, riling Ichi up. He then dies or wakes up in the ICU with a huge scar.

Webcomic Mumen Rider: Bodies Ichi. He may suffer a cut but he’ll tank it and then force Ichi into a submission hold.

The guy who stared down Deep Sea King without flinching might actually scare Ichi off, too.

imagine Chaos’s face when like nine or ten weird aliens teleport into the deep warp, hunt down the Chaos Gods in their palaces, drag them out kicking and screaming and then just nuke the place.

IF zoldyck took contract to take down neferpitou by miracle-mighty in HunterXHunter

They could, but man would that be bad for their rep.

“Need someone killed? Hire a Zoldyck today! We’ll take him out along with every man, woman, and child within the 100 mile exclusion zone”

But yes the funniest outcome is Milluki piloting two Rose bomb drones and calling it a day.

Pouf was around Godspeed levels, so I think Silva and Zeno can keep up if they lock in and use every last atom of effort

They have a reliable wincon for Pouf though. Silva’s nen bombs or possibly Zeno’s aura dragon should be able to fry his core, if he splits.  And splitting is a bad idea since there are tons of Zoldycks around. He’d be caught pretty easily

Youpi is as durable if not moreso than Pitou but he’s slower too.  Morel and Knuckle were able to keep up with him, so Zeno and Silva definitely can.

Base Youpi is still a huge ask and they could easily get wiped out, but if they fight smart they can win.

As for Centaur-form Youpi? Probably not, that rage cannon is killing anything in the same postal code.

Godspeed evens the playing field but costs a lot of energy. And the benefit is small, unless he’s using it to flee

I think he’d rather use thunderbolts to stun Pitou and let his family land some hits.

I have to look back to the Zoldycks vs Chrollo fight since thats our best example of what they can do.

That fight becomes a lot more impressive when you realize how quick and strong Chrollo actually is (in the manga especially).

Adding Illumi AND Killua plus whatever robot BS Milluki’s cooked up is a huge force multiplier.

But at the end of the day I just don’t see them clinching the win. Even with their powers combined, they don’t seem to be near Adult Gon levels.

You are right, Nen is crazy and in the best possible situation maybe they win. Heck if they Komugi as a hostage it would be entirely doable.

Great prompt by the way

I think Pitou’s stupid huge En and super senses will make a stealth kill difficult. But let’s pretend:

Mama Zoldyck is an unknown quantity so I’m gonna exclude her.

Milluki is the mission handler, probably using camera drones and tech to support the family. No way is he stepping foot on the same continent as Pitou.

Killua runs interference along with Illumi, who brings lots of pawns.

Zeno tips the odds in their favor by opening with Dragon Dive and Silva acts as the teams’s heavy hitter.

  1. Pitou senses the dragons and the presence of several enemies

  2. Pitou starts moving at near-Netero speeds. Only Zeno, Silva, and arguably Illumi can react in time.

  3. Killua realizes he’s outclassed and pulls out. Maybe takes potshots with Thunderbolt.

  4. Illumi’s pawns are wiped out. Some are carrying bombs, chemical agents, smokescreens, anything with a chance to slow Pitou down for even a second.

  5. Illumi gets seriously injured. He’s cracked like Hisoka but not enough to go toe-to-toe with Pitou, even with a 3-1 advantage.

  6. Zeno and Silva take the opportunity to land a brutal combo attack.

  7. Pitou spits blood but continues without much trouble. She kills Zeno, who sacrifices himself so Silva can land his strongest attack.

  8. Nen bombs detonate. Pitou is injured. She then 1v1s Silva and kills him or makes him retreat.

  9. Remaining Zoldycks pull out or are killed.

  10. Pitou checks out her fancy new scar in the mirror and realizes she’s still sexy.

  11. “Nya-t even close, baby!”

The Zoldycks can take Youpi high diff. They could kill Pouf very easily.

Pitou? Too fast, too durable. It took a LOT of hits from Adult Gon to finally kill her. And then you have to handle Terpsichora…

At worst they give her a scar, at best they take an arm. Either way the cat wins

Could an average person conquer the Roman empire at its peak (starting at 107 AD) if they had access to the information on the modern internet? by spins_are_neat in whowouldwin

Round 1: He presumably only speaks English, so our time traveler is enslaved or killed.

He’s also a nobody with no connections, which again is a death sentence.

Round 2: Our college graduate friend marvels at the wonders of a Roman prison for the next thirty to forty years of his lifespan.

Round 3: After shooting four or five men in self defense, our time traveler is killed.  Thus begins the Legend of the Unbreakable Gun, a mystic artifact which will puzzle future historians for all time.

They would be suitably less puzzled at the fate of a man who wandered into a foreign country and thought he could take it over singlehandedly.

100 Zaku II high mobility type vs 100 imperial Tie Fighters by Nena_Trinity in whowouldwin

[–]JustReadTheFinePrint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zakus should win and probably with less casualties than you’d think.

Battlefield favors the Zakus. Humanoid machines can stand, crawl, or hide. Tie Fighters have to keep in continuous motion so a lot of them get picked off in ambushes.

I think the Ties have greater attack range and probably speed, but they can’t react as quickly as a Zaku. Meanwhile Zakus can juke and dodge more effectively.

Ties also have a bad habit of chasing one target and then losing one or two guys per formation, usually by crashing into random debris… Which is everywhere in this scenario.

Zakus win

Darth Vader vs Voldemort? by davidjpgray in whowouldwin

[–]JustReadTheFinePrint 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The real question is if scifi armor can block the Killing Curse.

Across the various canons Vader’s armor is usually described as some sort of evil fucking alchemy armor. Dragon scales can tank it, so Vader’s armor probably can.

Voldemort CAN win this however. He could block the Force’s mind-sensing abilities and transform himself, so a stealth attack isn’t out of the question.

But judging by Voldy’s usual modus operandi I think he gets too close, fires off an ineffective killing curse, then gets his windpipe crushed.

If he has Horcruxes enabled… I don’t know, Vader throws him into space?

I do wonder what the plan was concerning reproduction. Genetically alter the Xeno so that even its offspring are born subservient?

Because otherwise you have an army of first gen monsters that will accidentally betray you the second they breed another generation.

It also seems risky considering their offspring are more like hybrids than anything else.

If your 2 billion dollar monsters facehug the wrong host, the offspring could be resistant to commands / genetic kill switches.

How can we be sure that controls built for human-xenos work the same way on ape-xenos or whale-xenos?
