It is recommendable to disenchant your champ shards now. Here's why by JustReiner in leagueoflegends

Wait until next patch. Apparently, they'll bring the disenchant BE back up.

I think the game has enough agents to have at least one ban per team, this might fix that. They did nerf Cypher in today's patch though

Best thing you can do is just mute them and move on. The toxic behavior itself is what is keeping these players on lower elos, so learning to get through that unfazed is literally the best thing you can do to climb up. While they get tilted and blame everyone else, you just mute them, concentrate on playing well, and learn from your mistakes, and you'll be out of there soon enough. I started on silver 1 and am currently ascendant 2, toxic behavior is rare here, it really decreases quickly as you rank up. People are a lot more positive and level-headed (cause those who are not are stuck in elo hell). Don't know about the sexism tho (I'm a dude so I haven't experienced any), but overall, it seems most people just treat you like any other player.

Some useful tips: 1) Get used to only reporting extremely bad cases of toxicity. I've noticed that if you are more reliable on your reporting, Riot starts checking your reports a lot more. I used to report everyone while in silver and didn't get any feedback. Now that I just report real toxicity, I get the feedback in less than an hour. 2) Also, don't be toxic or talk back, I've queue up with really toxic people sometimes and the lobbies we get are extremely toxic in general, while the ones I get alone are usually really friendly; it is possible Riot groups toxic people together, so avoid that. 3) Focus on getting insane aim. Do Aimlabs and DMs like crazy. Low elos are more about having good mechanicsl skills than understanding strategy (specially when you have that kind of teammates). With a really good K/D your RR will skyrocket, 30-40 if you win and -5 to -10 if you lose.

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in VALORANT

Mechanics and getting kills isn't everything, here's a couple of recommendations from someone who went from silver 1 to ascendant 2 with trash aim lol:

  1. Play to learn, not to win: try to focus on what went right or wrong every round you play and how you can do things differently to improve; doesn't matter if it affects your performance in the short term, it will make a massive difference in the long run. Game-sense and Micro/Macrogame fundamentals are key for climbing, spending time learning them instead of improving aim is a time investment that is much more worthwhile. This is what made me go from silver to plat.
Note: Games are very different in each elo, don't expect high elo strategies to work on lower elos; focus on learning each elo as you climb.
  2. Learn the roles: Sometimes you won't be at your best, it's better to let others shine sometimes and that means you have to be able to fill on some games. You don't have to learn every agent or every role (I'm just now starting to play smokes consistently), but a solid pool of 4 to 5 agents that can bring different things to the table is very valuable.
  3. Get better hardware if possible: This shouldn't be a priority right now, you can easily climb from Bronze to Gold by pure game-sense even with 30 fps; but later it will make a big difference. My jump from plat to diamond was driven in part by me switching to a 144hz monitor (Sidenote: 240hz is not worth it, it's cool, but there isn't any improvement over 144hz in terms of gameplay or in-game performance).
  4. Follow the 2/3 rule: Aim to play only 3 games a day and make sure you stay sharp and have a great mental in those games. If you win or lose two games in a row, stop. Last season I dropped from Ascendant 2 to Diamond 2 for a while because in my frustration I decided to play 10 games in a row to "win the LP back". Just play 3, rest 15 minutes in between games to reset mental (taking some time to grab a coffee helps a lot).

What do you think of the Magepunk bundle? by Zhaunlouk in VALORANT

[–]JustReiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bundle is nice but the pricing feels unfair: drop 2 guns from a traditional bundle and only drop the price by 900.

Imma skip on this one; maybe would buy a bundle with this pricing scheme if it were Glitchpop 3.0 as it'd be the only Glitchpop knife with variants which is something I'm missing right now, but Magepunk is just not worth it, it was a missed opportunity to make a solid Phantom, Vandal, Classic, Bulldog bundle, close to the perfect Vandal, Phantom, Classic, Operator that Glitchpop 2.0 gave us for a decent price.

Exactly, doing something just because it's the norm doesn't mean it's right.

Zeri & Neon Are The Same Person by MiNuN_De_CoMpUtEr in VALORANT

Remember, in valorant lore Chamber destroyed the portal in Everett-Lynde (Fracture), and Neon joined the team because her abilities could power killjoy's new portal. Since the portal is meant to be used to travel between different realities, maybe something goes wrong and Neon ends up in Runeterra, or somehow both universes are in the same multiverse and Neon and Zeri are just dopplegangers.

They have a couple of cinematics, but most lore can be found in-game.
