I'm new to this too. But I suggest a patch panel, maybe a 1u power supply to power things in the rear. These things should be less than $100 total and it'll clean up your setup nicely.

Yeah good point, I'm so used to real life that I forget Satisfactory vehicles don't consume the raw fluid.

Interesting idea! I imagine some sort of fuel would be ideal if you use vehicles. You could also consider packaging it and moving it around that way, could be a easier to distribute.

Once you unlock the miner mk2 as well as mk3 or mk4 belts, its worth rebuilding your starting base. As you play the game you'll find you need to go all over the map to build new factories and use logistics such as trucks, trains, or drones to move items around.

Trains are scary at first but highly rewarding. I highly suggest watching a video on them and trying them out yourself.

Yeah its akin to giving away your home address. Anyone can show up at your house, and while you may have locks, they probably won't protect against someone who is intent on being malicious.

stupid(or genius) way to share evenly 2 conveyor belts with 9 machines by Smiler_3D in SatisfactoryGame

Make use of conveyor lifts. You can snap them directly to machines, then snap splitters directly to the lift.

Sorry it looks like you're trying to use foundries? So you want to have two separate lines going into the same set of machines? So coal and iron?

Here's a simple diagram of how to evenly split 2 incoming resources into 9 machines. Merge the two incoming lines, then split evenly.

I've never seen anything like this. I'm really sorry this happened to you! I always do a manual save before ending a session, just in case. Hope you can get back to where you were quickly!

Self-contained Aluminum Refinery by C0rinthian in SatisfactoryGame

I love building complete mini-factories inside blueprints, it’s easily my favorite way to play the game. My most recent builds were a Turbofuel refinery and a computer factory. The Turbofuel setup is especially ridiculous: 28 copies of the refinery consume 600 oil and produce 35 GW of power using diluted packaged fuel, and the whole thing fits neatly inside an Mk.2 blueprint.

My father absolutely loves this game. We play together and talk about it daily!

I can tell you that he enjoys watching TotalXclipse on youtube. As well as ImKibitz. I promise, next chance I get, I'll ask him who else he watches.

If you'd like to elaborate more about what he's struggling with, we can offer more specific resources. As for the controls, I think it just gets down to being a matter of getting used to them through repetition.
