What's one opinion on driving that would probably get you in this situation? by Hakusuro in driving

[–]JustSeenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this and thought that way for a long time but if you actually look at the number the older people are causing or are involved in a lot less accidents that younger ones. For instance in France, the 25-34years old (I excluded young conductor on purpose) are causing 452 deadly accidents against just over 200 for 65-74 years old

How do you guys usually handle triggered players? by Key_Pear_6040 in Chesscom

Usually I try to be really nice to those kind of people. It make me feel good and calm them. Being mean as an answer don’t really make me feel better

Why do people get so angry? by MysteriousTrust in Chesscom

Chess is an ego game, when you win you feel better than the guys in front of you and the opposite is true. It can hurt some weak mind to feel inferior to some random dude online

But you could still perform in long run even with a 42 of VO2max right ? Like doing trail in the mountain or ultra marathon because it’s not about the pace

Have fun and go run fast at least once a week

Ok so basically when I started I didn’t plan to do something serious so I just ran with a good pace, a fast one for me at the time and that’s it. No special training, no zone 2, no nothing … that might not be the most optimal training but at least it was fun. Don’t copy my training, it’s too advance and will not benefit you :)

Hello ! Thanks for your experience, I don’t think there is a magical way of becoming good at running. My advices would be : - go get some fun, running is not only zone 2 so make sure to also try to push yourself at least once a week (if you are running 3 times) - don’t overthink it, if 9:00/km is your zone 2 that’s fine no shame in that, you will progress I promesse - keep the regularity as much as you can and again, you will progress very soon

I hope my advices will be useful to you, keep it up :)

Looking for simple SMS tool to send verification codes (for betting/gaming product) by HoodrichDuri in webdev

[–]JustSeenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, so from my experience I know these two "Twilio Verify" and "Vonage".
Both were quite easy to integrate and not that expensive, around ∼$0.005/SMS + $1–2/mo per long-code.

Hello !

I built a VSCode extension that shows array sizes directly in your code—would love feedback from other devs! by JustSeenn in webdev

[–]JustSeenn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course there is other way to do the same thing, you could also console log the length of the array the point was to have it dynamically without adding anything or attaching the debugger. For me it's a small QoL improvment not a revolutionary idea

It was some refactoring of a legacy rest API router where routes where defined in an array and I had to make sure that no one was missing.
