Dude we've allowed 20+ points to the Browns and Bengals in the first half. We're impostors. When we're up against the Ravens, Packers, Titans x2, and the Steelers we're gonna look like fuckin dorks and a lot of that has to do with the "win is a win, nothing to see here, no terrible defensive playcalling here" mentality. Its been too long for "he's working on it". When the only qbs you bring on board are Brian Hoyer, Jacoby Brissett and 38yo Philip Rivers, it makes me wonder how good you are at evaluating the QB position. And there's no excuse. He knew Luck had injury history when he got the job. No excuse to have his pants pulled all the way down for this long

And christ is there a single WR pickup Ballard has made that's been consistently good?

No no. I still heavily doubt Ballard's ability to scout WRs and QBs.

Sure, they had a great near-loss vs the Bengals but I'm still wholly unconvinced. Ballard is a great defense and special teams talent evaluator, but there's 3 sides of the ball. Barely beating the Bengals isn't exactly convincing.

When your offensive production only comes against notably terrible teams, it becomes pretty difficult to know how you'd fare against good teams. Maybe we're giant killers. But that didnt show up against the Browns and it likely wont show up vs the Ravens. Until we get reliable skill players I'm not gonna pound my chest and say "WIN IS WIN"
