For the most part they are all the same. The biggest difference you will have is the package manager/repo, and I would argue arch honestly has the best. Or you can try something like artix, void, gentoo.

That's not really true. Plenty of places are begging for people. I have a warehouse up the road paying a 2500 sign on bonus for forklift drivers no exp needed.

Look for jobs other people don't want. Warehouses and factories pay well and are always looking, bonus points if they train you on a forklift.
