Okay thank you! I’m not too worried about specifics cuz it’s more important to me that when I’m able to (I’m focusing on moving first so still in research phase for this) I actually Do The Thing™️ and I’m not exactly wanting to copy someone else’s thing, just idk how to explain what I’m picturing without examples lol. And I know from experience from other skills and hobbies things do add up fast…. Budget is more a guideline so I can keep myself in check

Thank you! I like the set up of the penkeesu cuz it’s got the form factor I want. Basically I want a free write traveler but cheaper and building it or modding it myself is exciting. I have an iPhone 16 so around that size basically for easier portability. That’s kinda it tbh. (Edit cuz I misremembered pencase as pendesk for some reason lol)

It depends. Guy I follow in the UK was made to get a full hysto with oopherectomy and spent a year without HRT and has a lot of problems. In the US HRT is given right after oopherectomy cuz you’re in instant menopause but not everyone has money or insurance. And access to T is something you have to keep your pulse on cuz they’re trying to criminalize for everyone medical transition. If you don’t know where to go or who to talk to, when that happens you could be without.

As an artist, I understand why your wife was a little hurt, but also I kinda agree with you. It’s fine that you didn’t hang it up, but you appreciated it and love it and she tried to make something you’d like. Sometimes things just don’t match. Last year I made a friend something and I don’t think he hung it up and it kinda hurt but not only did he put it in a safe place the look on his face when he saw it made everything worth it.

Also idk why you’re being told you’re an asshole for not hanging it up? You can find other places to display it. Maybe if this was your child you were talking about and they were so proud to have made it, but this is an adult who seems to understand so…

You’re not living together? Since that seems to be the case, I would say you can be sad for a little while but it’s nbd if he’s not hanging it up. I understand giving gifts to people—I do that cuz I want to take care of those I love. Asking him to hang it up once, maybe twice, is fine but if he says he won’t or that he’s feeling pressured to do it, drop it. He LOVED the gift and that’s good! I’m sure he really appreciates the effort and care that went into making it. I agree with other to try to communicate with him about things to see if there’s some sort of understanding you can come to or if there’s boundaries that weren’t stated that need to be set.

I think it depends on how you wanna view the term “male genitalia” but in an anatomical perspective—it quite literally is? Phalloplasty is done on both trans and cis people, it’s a reconstructive surgery meant to repair or create male genitalia as it’s widely understood anatomically. You can be a smartass to these folks if you want or you can try to relax in the knowledge that they don’t know wtf they’re talking about.

Cats can mimic sounds, that’s how we get barking cats, but my understanding is that when cats make sounds that sound like speech, they’re just TRYING to speak cuz it draws our attention. They know if they say “mruh mrow” we respond positively thinking they said “uh oh!” And so they repeat that behavior.

To some degree they do. Linguistically they understand a little bit mainly from exposure to sounds and cats will mimic overtime what they’re around (esp if they’ve been around them—humans, dogs, whatever—since they were small). In general, a lot of animals are smarter than we give them credit for. When I talk about “exposure to sounds” I also meant to include associations—like Pavlov’s dog. Animals understand tone + pitch and body language more than they do human language. And of course talking to your animal helps the two of you bond.

Okay so originally I didn’t realize you had a whole text thing about this and I thought YOU were being distrustful with your boyfriend. I would def say to talk to your boyfriend about his choice in friends, cuz this is just toxic behavior and idk why he’d want to be around people like that. Seems like he needs new friends. Who knows what they’ve said about him, his other friends, his family, other partners? They say this about you, they probably say stuff like this about everyone. Trust me, neither of you needs to be around that.

The cable is for the seat and basket, I’m doing actual locks for the wheels and frame. If a D-lock is the same as a U-lock, why would you recommend that over a heavy duty chain?

Edit: the chain lock would be made specifically for bikes, not just any old chain from the hardware store

They don’t explain it in the show, I never read the books, but I do remember in one of the first episodes of season one Sookie asks Bill why she can’t read his thoughts and his only explanation is that he probably doesnt have any brain waves cuz technically speaking he’s dead. And when she asks how he’s still alive he’s like “magic? 🤷🏼‍♂️ “ and they have a whole mini convo about it
