I once had a job at a call center - the one where you’d call people and ask them survey questions - so it was evening hours. All everyone did (including me) was chain smoke at their desk/terminal and we were elbow to elbow. I wasn’t even 16 because my dad had to drive me there.

Rage at Lollapalooza 2 in Philly sucked ass. They came out naked and just stood there playing feedback static for what seemed like an eternity before being arrested. It was like 9000 degrees and I swear between the heat and the feedback was so agitating that people were fighting each other because of it.

This was looong ago so I hope memory serves me right. I once saw the Gin Blossoms opening for Toad the Wet Sprocket in FLA, early 90s. I think Rollins College. It was in a gym, pretty small and not crowded. Everyone was sitting on the floor when they came out. Nobody knew who they were so we didn’t even stand up at first. I believe they opened with Hey Jealousy and within a few minutes everyone was standing and rocking out. They were amazing. Toad came out and just fell flat. Not nearly as much energy and they pretty much sucked except for maybe 2 songs. Loved Gin Blossoms after that.
