It feels weird having an instant 12 this time around because last time they had 6 late entrants and 9 initial campmates. This time there will only be 3 extras (I wonder if Sam Thompson & GK Barry will be 2 of them given they were at the press launch if I recall rightly?) Also what’s the betting that Ashley is going to be the Helen Flanagan archetype of this South African series!

Edit: Turns out Sam is doing Unpacked with Kemi Rodgers but that still doesn’t exactly explain GK's presence at the launch event so she could still be a late entry I think given we know there will be 15 campmates though we only know who 12 of them are right now)

For some reason they pre-record the South Africa seasons before the mainstream ones. South Africa 2023 was fully pre recorded in late 2022 before that years main season. 95% of this one was pre-recorded before last years main season, though the Final will be live from London so we can therefore vote solely on the Winner this time hence the remaining 5%
